I think if after a few messages if you seem to be getting on Skype can be better than a phone. For one thing it costs nothing but if you've got a webcam you can see who you're talking to.
Sending messages can be easy 'cos you have time to think, but on the phone or Skype people are more honest 'cos they haven't got time to lie.

We only chatted on the phone cause it was late at night and she wanted to lie down. I will ask for a skype chat though just to make sure she is the girl in the pics, but i'm quite confident she is genuine. The phone call was a nice way to gently break the ice so now i wont feel nervous skyping her :cool:

Always a plus to be talking early on, and Skype avoids the 'catfish' scenario, but also google image searching the pictures on pof can always be a good way too.

How far is the distance involved...

I did google image search just never said in case peole here thought i was weird :rotfl:1 image led to her twitter and twitter led to her facebook. I'm very sure she is who she says she is. The distance is 90 odd miles away but its not far enough to be a problem.

Skype is a good idea, I'm just on my way back from meeting the guy I was talking to in person, it went pretty well we had skyped before hand though when we slyped I found him incredibly easy to talk to and we got alone really well, there was a spark

I also had added him on Facebook so i checked him out before hand. He actually lives like 100 miles away but is only a 2 hour train journey so not really too bad.

Theres really no such thing as being matched correctly on POF, because even if you do get a list of people who you have tons in common with, they wont always contact you or if you contact them they wont always reply.

Plus, if you set your filters the way you want them, anyone who fits in those filters can send you a message.

Its more or less pot luck.

We had a face time chat last night, she cant skype cause her webcam is broken but something isn't right with this girl and my spidey senses are tingling :rotfl: she is gorgeous and we get on great but but but she says she's never had a boyfriend and that men she speaks to online soon runaway once they get to know her, she even said she expects me to do the same. That is not normal in any sense of the imagination.

Im struggling with dating websites too

tried Tinder - ok made some nice friends and had some fun dates

POF - rubbish was only getting messages from old men and guys i did message never replied

okcupid - dont really like not enough guys on there local ish to me and again never reply back

I dont understand when men always moan that women never reply as majority of time when i message i dont get replies either

Im off to join a nunnery !
