I remember doing it for English waaaaay back when I was at school too, I also have a copy of it in a book of poems (somewhere). You sound like you're very busy this weekend! I have the rugby games, shopping and ironing to do tomorrow so had a day of nothingness today
. Take care and enjoy mother's day tomorrow xx
Thanks DFW321, lovely of you to pop in:)
Hope you had a lovely relaxing Mothers Day too, after the busy Mum's Do-It-All Services day:)

Love Wordsworth's Daffodils - as child/teen I sang in a very successful childrens choir and this poem set to music was in our repertoire I can still sing it now - well hum to myself ! The phrase 'In jocund company' was my favourite line....dont know why just the word 'jocund' I think
The Lake District is the stamping ground of my youth. Conjured up some very happy memories. My second favourite place in the world I would choose to live.
Spring here reveals itself slowly - hard frost last night meant a cold but sparkly start. Mountains are still covered in snow and this evening all pink and sugar frosted with the setting sun. Busy with house stuff at moment so no time in garden - snowdrops now well and truly over and somehow I have missed the crocus with work commitments getting in the way meaning early starts and late finishes - don think I saw daylight for 3 weeks! Making up with plenty of daffodils and the hedge bottoms, dry stone walls and lawns are polka dotted with yellow primrose. Cant wait for Easter hols so I can get out there properly:)
Thanks for popping in Igamogam:) Sounds lovely where you are, and sorry you have been too busy to enjoy it...but Only two more weeks to Easter break.:) Our snow drops are fading too, still there but past their best. Splashes of other colours coming into bloom so I'm looking forward to the break too!
Lucky you to have grown up in the Lake District - I loved it! did lots of walks around lakes, and NT properties. You should make a u-tube recording and post a link! I have never heard Daffodils put to music or sung...might look it up for DD

Hi Lilty _ They really are:) my dad's my hero - Have only realised in recent years what a fantastic role model he has been. Hope yours had a lovely birthday, and that you and your mum had a lovely Mother's Day - I'll bet Jelly made some heart melting things for you:)
It's funny, my mum's birthday always falls on Father's Day weekend!
I had a lovely day, only spoilt by a couple of things related to DH (men arrrghhh!!!!! !!!!!) but am learning to not to dwell on such things.
DD & DS wrote in their homemade card that they know they don't always thank me for everything I do for them but they really do appreciate it .....and ended with "we have the best days with you" ....bought tears to my eyes. And they bought me a really cheesy cd by an artist I have always been crazy over (but never admit it in public;), we listened to it all the way down to my parents in the Garden of England (have sort of gathered you might be somewhere that way...unless I have my diaries a bit muddled in my head!). Will pop by yours shortly......

Found your diary the other day and have read it all
I find you most inspirational, we were I a similar position to you some years ago
You WILL do this we did. Our debt was not as high as your but on looking at your figures we had similar percentage of disposable income.
Your frankness about your relationship with you Dad made me cry, I had such a similar relationship with my own Dad.
Although not in debt now (but teetering on the edge)
I would love to follow you and become part of your cheer leading squad.

I am so honoured to have you in my cheer leading squad, and I love pom-poms, the brighter the better!
Am very touched you read all the whole way through, and amazed at your perseverance, I lead a very not-worthy-of-comment life, absorbed in my family's trials and tribulations mostly. Don't really feel that inspirational myself, but there are lots of people on here who help me and I draw strength from.
Sorry that I made you cry thinking about your relationship with your dad. I'm really glad you understand how I feel about my dad, it is difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it. I pour my heart out on these pages and say things I don't necessarily talk about outside immediate family and one or two very close friends.
I will find your diary too and cheer you on too, and be there to help pull you back should you teeter too far:p ...
As you have been there and beaten debt once already, you strengthen my resolve and hopes for a debt free future.

Hello lovely!!
:D
Erm Jelly has been so poorly continuously that she wasn't at nursery for mothers day making and we didn't even fit in the time to make something for my mumsad face. But there shall be many others.
Bless your two. Kids are awesomethe older they get the more they realise just what you do.
Squeak for 14 days straight!! Might want to try taking break (or bog standard supermarket equivalent) as an energy boost in the morning. Really works for me. Sister swears by it too!
Much love xxx

Thanks Lilty, Sorry I know she's been very poorly, rushed message and badly worded
Everyday is Mothers Day so every thing they do which ever day it is counts for something special.
Have missed another few days so dread to think how many posts I need to catch up on....
Think of you often and hope things improving.

Fleeting visit.
Exhausted with a manic weekend ahead.
Working much of the weekend on top of usual school taxi service , also hosting 2 boys for DS school Rugby tour up after for Saturday night. DD coming home tomorrow pm. Working again Sunday pm. Then full week next week marking.
Came home tonight, washed rugby kit for tomorrow's match, uniform washed and drying. Bedroom ready for the 2 boys staying Saturday night. bathroom cleaned. Will buy pizzas for tomorrow pm as will be too tired to cook.
Another run in with OH. So hard to break the cycle. From the outside looking in it looks like I have a model family. From the inside looking out, sometimes it feels so lonely. Am keeping myself busy and doing what I can and in no way ready to throw in the towel, but find myself being dragged down again. Going to bed to lie awake another night as need to have my fun face on tomorrow. As soon as the washing machine cycle stops.
Am going to keep next weekend totally free to do Nothing but be in the garden.
Have a super lovely weekend everyone.
