Did notice a small post on your page one day many moons ago trying to tempt me over for some frivolity when you mentioned the KN*ckers* word (see I didn't say it) and having to display them on radiators ;)) but I resisted temptation so that you wouldn't accuse me of hijacking your thread with "smalls" talk:p

I wasn't trying to tempt you over :o !! What sort of a boy do you think I am?

'Kn*ckers and frivolity' though..............sounds like something nice to keep one going through the cold winter months :rotfl:!!!
  • Hey you!!!

I like the sound of being adopted and having a twin ;) how fab!! And 18 years is a big gap! My littlest sister is 27 this year. Biggest bro 47

Feeling so sorry for your poor dad. Am guessing decisions as a family mean them moving to you. I know you mentioned this previously.... that is going to be an exceptionally hard decision for everyone especially considering your current struggles.

Keep on plodding flower. You really are doing so well. Tax returns on time and everything!! :D xx

Thought I'd drop in and catch up with you. So sorry to hear of the dramas with your parents :( They are so lucky to have you and your love for them shines through in your writing. I hope that your dad regains some vision, must be so difficult for him. I am dreading a time when my parents are not as fit and able, hope it is a very long time away.

I haven't been keeping my diary up to date (bad) although have been fighting the debt (good)

Look forward to getting back to reading diaries and hearing about your progress :)

Lovely of you to pop by CCL, and thank you for your words of support. Sad to say am at an age now where I feel torn between 2 generations - the future that needs nurturing and the past that needs to be loved and supported because can't imagine where I would be if they hadn't given their all while I was growing up. Truer than True .....Health is Wealth and without it life is much more difficult.
Sounds like your debt busting is going well :)
Look forward to catching up with you:)

Made a fool of myself today - cried on the phone to a letting agency :(
Deposit paid for DD's house share next academic year, but got a request form for consent for credit checks (which now show defaults (signed up for Noddle as recommended) and rating now 1/5. Explained the situation but got upset in the process, because it hit me how far reaching the effects might be for six years:(

They were very understanding though and said they could come up with a payment plan perhaps as an alternative. Wait and see. otherwise might need to ask my sister to be the guarantor but don't really want to have to do that.

Hugs honey as I totally understand how upsetting it is for mistakes of the past to affect our off-spring. Hopefully they'll sort something for you x

  • Hi NOA,

Don't feel embarrassed by you getting emotional today, I would imagine it is also an overflow of emotions from dealing with your parents health issues at the moment too.

Anyway, if you hadn't gotten upset, they may not have been so obliging with the payment plans etc so might all work out for the best.

I am prone to bursting into tears without much provocation so can sympathise with how you feel.

I really hope your dads vision starts to improve, so annoying when they don't have a magic pill or injection that can solve it.

Hope you have had a alright day, take care. xxxx

    Hi NOA x

You have done exactly the right thing in telling them and remember......the only reason for the marks on the credit file are that you were giving and providing more than you should have done. You were being better than the best!

I should have shouted when I was spending but I went along with it, not wanting to upset the status quo - that's why I am where I am :o I have suffered but being a bloke I never cry (though many do.) Twisted stomach and dry mouth were the big ones for me :(

When the DD's wanted bank accounts, credit card and (worst worry) car finance it all went through fine. Nobody would lend me 1p though - right decision I suppose! :o!! I didn't half worry when they were doing it though!

There is a way with the situation you are talking about - I have no personal experience of this but can a deposit sort it out? I know it's not what I would like to be asked for either :o!!

It will be sorted out NOA but if you thought 'guilt' might be appropriate then forget it (that's an order !! )

Lovely artwork - thank you - not sure if I am blushing:o!! I am sorry to have been frivolous - I know you have so much on your mind :(Everything but everything will come good :)You know that anyway :)
