    Morning Puzz!
Just read your suggestion about the diet biscuit....sorry ....failed on that but I really enjoyed the eggy bread (gypsy toast?) and feel much better now,
Mojo hunting about to start but I did do 250 steps on cross trainer this am and am promising myself to try and do 250 each time I take something upstairs....
Well and truly embarrassed about state of my house at the moment, and still having trees and decs out (not UP I hasten to add!)

I'll be right behind you come February - with the fitness needing to take priority. Also bought some liquid iron syrup (for DD as she is anaemic but she accidentally on purpose forgot to take it with her) so will have to use it myself - tastes yuk.
Meal plans have been non existent and I need to get organised on the food front again.

Have worked so hard for last month, but money going out faster than coming in still. Just spent £210 on school uniform and shoes for DS in last 2 weeks - he's now a man size Large at age 14yr, size 10 feet, just hope shoes don't need replacing again in a few weeks!

    Love n hugs

    Morning NOAh...

I just bought my mum some stained glass bluebells to hang in her patio doors where the sun comes blazing through. Hoping it makes her think to spring and happy thoughts :)

We have snow clouds and massive hailstorms leaving a cm or 2 of 'snow' at a time right now!

Your list sounds epic. Take one thing, and complete it. Tick it off. I recommend starting with the decorations. Clear house, clear mind. :)

Big hugs, we are here! xx

    Hi Lilty

The bluebells sound lovely - I love glass things and how light plays on them - I'm sure the sunbeams shining on and through them will make your mum think happy thoughts and of you and Jelly - and spring is just round the corner now - I love spring! Your post made me think of the first time I saw a bluebell wood in Cornwall - Beautiful carpet in different shades of sunlight dappled blue - breathtaking!:)

Taken your advice - Have just packed and taken all but the largest boxes upstairs :)
    Love n hugs

  • There isn't that better now ;)

The bluebells reminded me of something very similar! Being with my mum when I was small, overlooking a carpet of beautiful bluebells after a very long walk... so worth it! She loves snowdrops as well, so I might add to her collection!

Yes, Do! Snowdrops are beautiful too, we have a bank of them under the hedge, and when the kids were little they would pick two or three and put them in my tiny snowdrop vase which has a snowdrop etched on it (pressie from them) and give them to me. they haven't done that the last couple of years (grumpy old teens!) but this year I shall gently remind DS how much I loved those special hand picked gifts!

Good Morning Granny! and it is really beautiful outside - bright sunshine in cloudless electric blue sky - just went to see if snowdrops are out yet - but it is bitterly cold, so I came in and am warming hands on a mug of tea whilst eating fried eggy bread with ketchup. Comfort food from school days - used to be a favourite snack when we got home from school!

Only four weeks - have you started packing?!
    xx

It's bitterly cold today isn't it. I'm in the hairdressers, covered in foil wraps and for the first half an hour get my gloves on as my hands were like ice.

Spoke to DD about what to take yesterday as can't even think what I'll need for 3 months. Going away with OH tomorrow so will start packing when we get home.

I'm so excited, my count down tracker is now on days instead of months & weeks :D

Glad I'm not the only one Igamogam! Sorry to hear you have been poorly - there have been some nasty bugs around - DS was off for a whole week before Christmas. I have been invigilating mocks at DS's school - Felt sorry for the kids as the exams started first day of term. Hope they all went well for your DD.

I will take a look at the Konmarie thread - I haven't really looked around the other forums much as it can take up so much time - Thanks for the tip!
Hope you all feel better soon

    Morning all :)
A very grey day here with lots of grey work to do.

Dining room and lounge looking much clearer today.
Need to rescue the dining table today from unopened mail that is mostly from HS*C. Got a call from their collections team last night chasing underpayments on a loan (different department to the " Financial Guidance Team" so no one knows what anyone else is doing there. Also got my first call from Link yesterday (answerphone took it) - they have taken over one of the defaults. AM guessing they will just want an update so I should call StepChange today and get an updated I&E that I can forward. Don't want to worry about these things as have bigger concerns to worry about.

Very unsettled today as call to mum and dad last night worrying. Only saw them on Sunday but dad mentioned how hard everything is and is worried as mum not well - she is his full time carer. He talked about things and said didn't know how much longer they could be independent. She has pains in her side, some skin lesions she had checked a few months ago and are changing and growing (she said she was really scared) and has fallen over a couple of times. She is 73, does everything and is like a little whirlwind that never stops. I think she is scared that if she stops her health will start going downhill (dad is housebound).

Would really like them to move in with us but mum would find it difficult as we are quite isolated with virtually no public transport. This is why I need to work from home with flexible work. I also know that it will be really hard for us too (living with parents again!), but less worrying if they are close by and I can keep an eye on them. We extended house a few years ago, and our home office is an big room with plumbing at one end ready should we need to add shower room.

Wish I had a magic wand that could wipe away the pain and fear for all the good people in this world that deserve better.
