I do like him Bob, really, but I seem to be being very picky with DD. A couple of really teeny little comments/things have annoyed/upset me (out of proportion reaction) - all probably easily put down to him feeling awkward as well - I don't need to mention them to her but I have done (unnecessarily). Fatigue and pain haven't been my best friends this past week, and I guess after a busy period at work, SE work to catch up on etc, I would have quite liked to not have any guests. It was arranged to help him out for work experience (which should feel good!) and here's the crux of it I think?.....DD has been running around doing everything for him (more wife-y than I have ever been in my life!)
But I really have to bite my tongue because she is not me, and is how she is, (but not what I thought she would be?) - that's a whole load of garbled waffle which doesn't make any sense:rotfl:but just reflects my state of mind at the moment! Sorry

Morning All

Have had a lie in for 2 days:T not getting up until 8.30 which is heaven:) DH has been dropping DD off at work so I don't even have to do that.
I have to take some inspiration from DD and DS, both of whom have embarked on a fitness regime. DD is well into hers, with aerobic and toning plus calorie counting daily, and she has lost nearly a stone since May. She has such will power on this. DS started yesterday with running, pressups situps planks etc as he wants to be In A team for Rugby and extra fit for their big tour next year. Window of opportunity for holiday is narrowing as have got some more work for 7 days in August for temp part time job which I have accepted.
That just leaves me
got to give up the comfort eating, hopefully will be easier now am at home and days are brighter. I have been managing 6-8K steps most days, 3K on a bad day, just going about normal day to day work/life. Just need to boost that a bit when possible.
Looking forward to the weekend as sibling coming for the W/e and we are out on Friday night :T and then chilling

Road tax renewed, NI bill paid, VAT time again. Seem to have sprinted through our 2 months in hand SE income in the last 3 weeks:(
Some good news as DH gets a pay rise:), which sounds great but after tax etc won't make much of a difference, will need to siphon it off towards mortgage I think, possibily his pension.
Need to go through bills/ finances and have a rethink in the next week or so, I think.
Lots of washing done today. A big shop to do tomorrow for the weekend, and possibly cook ahead so we can just relax when sis comes.:)

Morning
a lovely sunny day here again. More washing on the cards, and then going to try and look over all direct debits and utilities today, do some filing with help of DS. Cleared a carrier bag full of paper out of office this week
Lifting anything a problem at the moment, it's so frustrating. Occ Therapy apt today.
DD intensive driving lessons going well, yesterday was told if she'd driven like that in a test she'd have passed, so fingers crossed for next week.
Parents plodding along, visited them at the weekend. Much the same. Everything seems much the same. Every day.
Have a good day everyone, nearly the weekend.

Has it really been 5 days - trouble (or good thing perhaps) about school hols is that I forget what day/date it is, and days/ weeks are very unstructured. No longer looking to fill time with days out for kids etc like when they were little. DS organises what he wants to do and he only needs me for mum's taxi services.
Nice night out with family and sister who came for the weekend - outdoor concert on Friday night was great and weather perfect, with beautiful sunset backdrop. Lazy Saturday, with just pottering around at home, 5 sets of bedding washed and dried
. and watching rubbish films on tv, then a walk in town - a balmy 25 degrees, mostly just to get out of the house and stretch. Sunday - a lazy brunch, and sis helped me repot all house plants (those that have been clinging on desperately for dear life for months:p) - hopefully they will go wild with all those new nutrients...and some water:D. Sister is amazing, it was lovely of her to come.
DD passed her driving test!!!! :j We have found a little run around for her, just need to source/sort out some insurance now:eek: daren't look after hearing so many horror stories of it costing 1000's....so even more spend to come, but hopefully it will make a huge difference both to me and to her.
Progress on anything else has been quite slow even non-existent.
its 30deg + today, and feel very lethargic. will catch up on some diaries now and hopefully find some get up and go to push start me again.

Hi Noah,
:T to dd on passing her driving test and glad you had a good weekend with your family.
My get up and go, got up and went today! I despise the heat unless I am on a sunbed next to a pool....I also woke up with my big grey cloud, managed to shake if off and then put my back out...! Not the best timing with my dd's 18th tomorrow so entertaining tonight and tomorrow....
Hope you are enjoying your garden and getting some r & r.

Lots of thinking today, it's been a strange day, highs, lows, worries, reminiscing, more worries, 20 years have passed by in a flash, DD now independent in the full sense of the word, will no longer need to ask where/when she can go, feel the last little bit of control slipping away. Proud of her in every way, but can't help feeling a little sad.
Then someone I haven't seen in a long time, sent the poem below in an email tonight, really touching, and I feel it sums up everything just right. I would wish enough for everyone. Not sure who the author is so apologies, seems to be a few adaptations around.
“I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough “Hello’s” to get you through the final “Good-bye.”
Sweet dreams, off to bed now
