Spent 4 years pretending it's all OK

Thanks Bob and Brizzle,
Have done my 4 hour stint of good deed today, and although it was tiring, I got 4 hours of Vit D top up as it was outside, and such a lovely day. If I'd been home I would probably have being doing housework inside. Am going to sit and watch tv ,now though ALL evening
and then a long soak:)
Just got home and DH is being a grump with DS, who has had exams all week and is pretty exhausted too, just because he laid in this morning, which all teens do! Yet he gives in all the time to DD. Have tried telling him that he treats them differently (and DS is 5 years younger than his sister) but he won't listen. GRrrrr.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Will catch up later tonight
xx

My OH treats our DDs differently 6 years between them.......He says not but the DDs disagree! Epsom salts BTW on offer in home baaaargins and on line b00tsBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I have never tried Epsom Salts Igamogam but maybe I should too. Have been getting various niggles lately and it worries me as I had a very bad attack of sciattica in my early 20s and had to have 10 weeks of physio. Suspect baby related tbh as I am forever getting into uncomfortable positions at the moment. So good tip. Sorry to hijack the convo." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thanks Igamogam - and Brizzle, Have never tried them but will now! Will be going in HOme B's direction at the weekend, so will pick some up then.
Bob, get some too and we can compare notes
Sciatica is horrible, I get a mild version occasionally - after a severe bout some 10years ago.
Last busy week this week at school, things will be a bit quieter next week. Have survived :T:T:T:T
Didn't get the big one for SE
but it was a long shot anyway. They picked someone else for the project because we have not done exactly that project before. A little disappointed but perhaps also a little relieved if that makes sense? It would have made for a very hard 6-8months (not that I'm shy of hard work) - just thinking it would have been hard on heath with no down time at all.
No other new news, just work work work and a few more creditors wanting updates again.
Bye for now, it's way past bedtime:o

Hi NOA I really feel for you re this bit. It must be so hard on top of other stuff. Maybe you need to explain to your parents that the offer of them moving nearer you would still now mean getting help in as you are not physically as robust as you thought you would be. Have you told them you are ill?
Re OH and DS, toughy that. Your OH probably genuinely can't see that he treats them differently. But I am sure your DS feels it keenly. Perhaps a concrete example would help?
Sorry you didn't get the big job. But you sound so tired, that probably it is for the best?
Keep plodding as Beanie would say

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

AM plodding away Chev
seems to be what I do best these days:)
Thanks for your understanding. I haven't told them yet, don't really have any plans to at the moment. Mostly because I don't think I could handle them asking how I feel all the time, and they would worry constantly.
DH - have tried explaining with specific examples, unfortunately he does not have much of a memory for these things, and he forgets from one day to the next - but he'll remember every detail of how to get somewhere from a one off trip 20 years ago, in minute detail!
A bit short on the emotional intelligence side
Hope all is well with you and your family.
Another Long Day, 2 more and it's the weekend. A have-to-show-your-face drinks reception on Saturday, DS playing jazz at a local church summer fair, then trip to see parents for father's day on Sunday. Back to work Monday. and repeat
Hope you are all having more fun than me!

Oh NOA..feel for you I really do.
You're doing brilliantly, but maybe putting yourself last?.. is there any way you can carve out some time for yourself every week? Even just to sit, read and have a cup of tea?

Weekend has flown by in a blur.
Did my duty and showed my face at drinks reception and usual taxi service provision. Went early this morning to see parents and just got back, just having 10 mins of quiet before getting clothes etc ready for the morning.
It was an OK visit, it's just very depressing seeing the situation slide all the time and feeling so helpless about it all. Plus mum has hurt her hand (fractured finger) so things aren't good. Tried to say to her that I could organise help to come in just for a couple of weeks, but she said no. Again. We did all the shopping, hoovered etc to minimise whatshe has to do but she's not meant to get the dressing wet for 2 weeks. Am working all week so can't have them here or stay there to help.
Dad pretty much just sleeps all the time, just gets up for meals and bathroom. Hitting a brick wall all round every time.
