Can't believe you have an alarm that doesn't work - what a nuisance!! And to spend all that money.
My mum's would have been a cheap one as her oil heating was installed by the council and they don't spend money when they don't need to!!
My tank must be old as I have a gauge on the outside where I pull out a 'thing' and push it back in and voila I know how much I have. Luckily our tank is not far from the house and right next to the greenhouse and washing line so I can check it regularly.
Could you add a note to a calendar/diary to check monthly or 2 weekly?

I might just need to put a note in for every week, but chances are then I'll ignore it! Did think about checking about 2-3 weeks back - but as I didn't do it then and there, it then slipped my mind. Too much going on, too exhausted, and so some things fall off the radar
The other thing is that our next order should have been mid-end July, I think this year I have had the heating on way too much, as have been really feeling the cold.
It annoyed me so much particularly coming on top of DH's wrong fuel escapade. Onwards and upwards as they say, no point in crying over spent oil.
Feel smilier today as sun has been out all day. I have done 3 lots of bedding and its all dried. Have done a cheat grocery shop for the week, with pizza and oven fish n chips for two suppers this week, have made daal today for another meal during the week, and stir fry on another night for speed and ease, as will be a full on week at school - 12 hour days.

Longest hardest day done today. Wish it was Friday already.
Utter exhaustion is order of the day, not helped by no sleep last night
Wish I hadn't volunteered to help at a charity FunDay on Saturday, why do we always do that? I still find it So hard to say No. Will hold onto the thought that its for a good cause - local children's hospice.
Roll on Sunday.
