Wow is slept well!!! Must have been been the 'COINTREAU'!!!
and it was quite pleasant too!
I do have to be super organised - for some reason my mum seems to have forgotten how to prepare a meal without being told what to make! So its easier to leave her with a list and everything ready - the kids would survive on packet pasta and macd's for 3 days but I would rather they didn't so its worth a little organisation and it helps me feel calm and enjoy the course. I relation to clothes etc my DS has ADHD and a few other issues which means he is a bit of a handfull - so its good to 'help' him to be organised in adavnce rather than the chaos that happens at the last minute (that my mum gets stressed about!). My DD2 and I had a bit of a barny about her not helping at home so I am guessing she will be willing help even less now I have told her if she doesn't start helping and stop critisising she will be looking for a new bed room to make into a tip!
I know I have done what I should with the CSA - its just the anxiety of causing drama when things on that front are difficult anyway and I went through a bad time with ex that I do not want to revisit!
I'm a Scot so will be cheering them on today!
Right house cleaning, menu planning and shopping to get on with! After another coffee and a bit of James Martin!!! Bliss! Nearly had a real crisis when I realised I had no filter coffee left (my Saturday morning indulgance!) - but found a little tin at the back of the cupboard that went out of date in 2008! but it was sealed inside so tastes fine!0 -
Oh well so much for CSA taking 5 days - my ex has obviously got a letter from them and is not impressed at all! Turned up to collect son and became very abusive and threatening - gone now and son didn't go with him! But I am sure it's not the last I am going to hear from him!!!0

Oh sorry to hear that Judi. Try not to let it ruin your weekend. Am putting off something a little similar myself, getting the dread in the pit of the stomach really isn't nice. Did your son not want to go, or did EX not take him? Best wishes to you all.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0

Thanks Asparagus - I know I shouldn't bow to his bullying - but its hard when it arrives on your door step as large as life (and he is large!!) - he had the cheek to say 'oh I was going to start paying something after Christmas!!' He insisted my son give him his paint ball gun! saying he bought it and it needed to stay at his - son was not happy at all - but I insisted he give it over to him as he wasn't going away without it - it was just a way to push us around I guess - so son also refused to go with him and has blocked him from his phone! He is a very nasty person - and obviously the CSA calculation is more than the informal arrangement we had years ago - so thats why he's not impressed!
Anyway - no point stressing about it until he does something else - I know he will! My lovely friends came to see me after I told them about it - they brought us all chocolate - which always makes us feel better lol!
Overspent in as*a - I know I should of gone to Al*i but I needed to go to boots to pick up DS prescriptions and its next to as*a - its fatal!!! especially when I take DD3 and I am stressed! anyway won't need anything else until after payday!!! I did get some wine for tonight - was supposed to be going out with some friends to celebrate their engagment but all this drama as put a stop to that so I guess a bottle of wine is alot cheaper than a meal and drinks out!!!0 -
Sorry to hear your ex did that. No example to set a child is it." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

No its not at all Bobarella - my son was very angry with him! it is not and never has been my intention to turn my kids against their dad - but he seems to be doing that all by himself! I explained to my son that his dad is angry with me not him - but my son doesnt get that - why take 'my things' then? - its very hard to explain!0

With the person your ex sounds to be, he won't need any help to turn his kids against him. As they grow older and see more adult behaviour his will stand out - in all the wrong ways.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright0

What a shame. At least they have you!
The overspend, what's done is done, factor it in to your next budget and move on. No-one's perfect.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, keep your chin up.:)LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
The overspend wasn't too bad - i did get my DD3 some half price trousers which she badly needed and also things that will definately last more than a week (24 toilet rolls 6 kitchen rolls etc) so shouldn't have to shop next weekend! Last night kids made home made pizzas (DD3 had a friend sleeping over) and I treated myself to an asda takeaway curry - but i made my own rice rather than paying for the ready cooked pack - so £2 for a takaway! in the past I would have gone to the takeaway as a 'treat' after an emotional and stressy day and the fact that I was missing out on my night out! So although I did overspend it could of been alot worse money wise yesterday.0
