    judi - to read this:
'Everyone loved their home made goodies - they all thought I was marvellous making things, working FT, doing a masters and having 4 kids!' - is all the tonic necessary.

We know you are all of these things, so remember it yourself when life suddenly ups and sling unforeseen nasties your way.

Come straight here and offload them.

I've just printed my 2015 calendrier out here:

-while awaiting my facteur one from France. All these little things help.

Hope last night's hogmanay kicked 2014 well and truly into touch. We'll be here this time next year for full-scale celebration and congratulation.

Well Happy new year to you all - I hope you all had a good evening - Mine was fantastic!! My first foot pack went down a treat and we all enjoyed a bit of a drinking game with my home made liqueurs and a friends home made sloe gin - all good fun and a bad head to show for it today! The kids even behaved brilliantly - social evens are always a little stressful as my DS is unpredictable but I can honestly say he was really well behaved and I was very proud!

I love the diction of the day Ampersand - day dreaming of a hot sunny August in France now! (when I'm debt free of course!)

So in best New Year traditions I have spent some time re examining my budgets and reconciling YNAB after a little overspending at Christmas and January is going to as tight as a tight thing so I can afford my Cousins wedding! I have paid the train fares already but the hotel is rather expensive :eek:
I could of course have booked a cheaper place but its all a bit complicated as I am invited to the day part of the wedding and kids are only invited to the evening - so I would rather that they are in the same place as me even though they wont be in the actual room - it means I can nip out if need be. My Aunt mentioned to my mum that my Gran would pay towards the accommodation but I don't know if this is going to happen so I have to budget based on me paying for it!

I have also come up with a plan for after January to but going to try to create a new diary on the diary forum to chart my progress with a more positive title - hoping you will all bob in and say hello! :hello::hello:

    Hi,
I have read to post 263(this is for my benefit)
I will finish reading rest tomorrow.
Well done Judi, keep going !
I love Ampersands posts, it is like someone watching over, making sure you keep on track, without judging you.
I also like Bobarella posts (we have met on another thread)
I will also read the post about pet insurance.

What I like about this thread Judi, is the similarities, although different circumstances.
    Good Luck
    Gill

Thanks for you kind post Gill

I agree with about my dear friend Ampersand - she pretends to be a witch (reference to the broom!) however I think she is much more like and guardian angel just reminding me of what's important when I get my self in a tizzy - I do often over think and over plan which as Ampersand tells me can lead to failure and a downward spiral and I need to just keep calm and controlled more often (Captain of my own ship!) - She is a real support and I look forward to her posts.

I feel so determined that I am going to get debt free this year and I know its because of the support and advice I get from this site - Thank you everyone
