well not quite a NSD - spend £2.40 on drinks for a friend and I at lunch time - she paid for lunch and and we had a great catch up so worth it!

I have applied to CSA - so I shall wait and see what materialises although their time frames seem very quick - I am now very anxious about it - but I know not doing it is bowing to his bullying tactics!!!

Also got the notifiation about my fuel refund - £288! Which is great - It is paying for Christmas - so looking forward to getting the payment!

Oh and I passed my last assignments with a reasonable mark!!!

Yes Verbatum - the plan is to do the balance transfers but I need to wait until I get a new Barclaycard (hopefully tomorrow or Monday) as I have cut up the card and can't get a copy of the card number to do the transfer from there to the Nationwide. But hopefully it will be done in the next week so that all the transfers and odds and ends tied up by the end of the month.

Thanks Asparagus - it was definately a good day all round - but still very anxious about my exs response when CSA contact him!!! They said 5 days so that will be next week sometime!

    :jNovember NSD's 9/14:j

This one is an achievment!!! My normal Friday evening when I am tired and hungry and feeling wiped from a busy week in work would be to get a takeaway and a bottle of wine - tonight I came straight home - made the kids suasage chips and beans (with free suasages!) and I had leftover pasta from the freezer - now having a little quantreau (must have been a leftover from last new years party as I have never bought it in my life but found in in the drinks shelf!) Its quite nice too! - and watching children in need (very emotional!! you forget how lucky you are to have healthy ish kids, a roof over your head and food in your belly every day!!)

Also had a free lunch in work so a very MSE day all round! Can't promise tomorrow will be the same though! Need a few bits of shopping but not much to be honest. Away on a training course for 2 nights next week so need to be super organised with meals and clothes for kids so my mum can manage so lots to do over the weekend!

Hope everyone has a good and frugal weekdend!! :D

    Well well well! -
    'This one is an achievement!!!'

It certainly is judi, so let's give it headline status.

Let me tell you about 'COINTREAU':) - that's it! It's a very useful orange-y liqueur and a wee touch cooked in with your windfall apples[freezer portions for later]makes a lush crumble - add in some candied peel[it's worth freezing citrus peel too, for later marmalade allsorts].
Gives a little 'something special' lift to all sorts of mse things:

Remember that these old liqueurs, like Grand Marnier aussi, are also digestifs, so I will expect to read you slept well:D.

re: ' so need to be super organised with meals and clothes for kids so my mum can manage '
I suspect your Mum has a bit of an idea about meals and clothes already - AND your in-house rules.

Back off gently, starting now. Remind the children that Gran's coming and THEY will be responsible during those few days.

You, too, judi - your main responsibillity during those days will be to do justice to yourself, to that Course work. No world is going to fall apart anywhere, at home, or abroad, because of any perceived failings or imagined domestic disasters chez judi. 'I'm looking forward to this Course' is this w/e's theme, with the children taking reflected kudos from a Mum who is doing all of this in addition to providing the safe and happy template roof over their heads.

You need no-one's permission to step out strongly, as with CSA.
Any attempts at undermining you are predictable, unhelpful, counter-productive in CSA eyes [be assured of this] and a complete irrelevance to Cap'n judi's new teflon mindset.

My sole fear for you this w/e is complete defeat by the 'boks, while I expect my ABs to play prettily against Scotland. Is there any NH team left that doesn't have me a.k.a. Cotter, Gatland, Sch-midt[have to do that as mse turns his name into a row of !!!] as Kiwi coach now? I think not.
