Woaaahhh this thread is still going on?

Just to give you all some closure, the situation seems to have resolved itself.

At the weekend I went out to my garage which is at the rear of the building to get my hammer (putting up a picture), walked towards my front door. The neighbour was washing his car at the time, took one look at me and ran into his house.

    No honking since :rotfl:
    Of course....

Well, yeah. You only started it on Sunday, and you asked for advice.

I take it you didn't bother to read any of the advice? How handy that the situation resolved so quickly, neatly and comedically then!

Yes I obviously did read the advise given.... If you actually read the thread you will see I have thanked people for their advise on several occasions.

What I mean is, I asked for advise, got given it, said thanks, stopped posting, came back to look and there are 3 additional pages since, which mainly consist of people arguing on the whether 6:30am is a reasonable time to be awake, whether constant waking of pregnant women is good for the baby or not or stating whether they work or not.

Yes it is very good that the situation resolved itself quickly, if you actually read what has been posted you will have seen that having someone park outside your house and honk all day for the sole purpose of intimidating your pregnant girlfriend is a bit of a pain.

Anyways for the people that offered advise thank you, for everyone else that craves an argument or likes to sit behind their keyboard making insulting comment enjoy the internet, that seems to be it's primary purpose.

I thought the reason he honked his horn was to say goodbye to his wife?

Yes its a pain in the backside but some neighbours are and lots of people go through stuff with neighbours that they wish wasnt happening, I could write a novel about some of mine. That doesn't mean its acceptable, but personally, Id have contacted environmental health and been done with it.

Your gf is pregnant, not ill and it must be a pain getting your sleep disturbed when you need it, but if you start a thread on here, you'll get all kinds of responses whether you like it or not and some will go off on a tangent.

Unless I'm missing something, you said he was doing it at 6.30am and then going off to work? Which, last time I checked, wasn't all day?

After asking him to stop doing it at 6:30am, it turned into more of a "honk your horn when any family member goes near a car" scenario.

Anyways situation sorted, no need to continue.
