After asking him to stop doing it at 6:30am, it turned into more of a "honk your horn when any family member goes near a car" scenario.

Anyways situation sorted, no need to continue.

In less than 24 hours too, result!

Woaaahhh this thread is still going on?

Just to give you all some closure, the situation seems to have resolved itself.

At the weekend I went out to my garage which is at the rear of the building to get my hammer (putting up a picture), walked towards my front door. The neighbour was washing his car at the time, took one look at me and ran into his house.

    No honking since :rotfl:

Wow - so it DOES work, then?! "STOP. Hammer Time."

And here's me thinking it was just a record. This changes everything... ;)
  • This is up there with the most bizarre thread Ive ever read on here.

Issue to sorted all in a day just by having a hammer in your hand.

    Sure.

Honking doesn't have to be in the early hours to be annoying.

Our cul-de-sac is often used as a turn around point for various taxis and also pick-ups, lots of profuse using of the horn throughout the day. I don't mind the sound so much, but when I'm dozing a bit while washing up and one of them toots like mad, I often jump so high I almost get my head in the ceiling!
