One of the problems for airlines in continuing to oppose the implementation of 261/04 is that each legal challenge generates media headlines. Using the programme "Orangedox" I can see how many people download the guide each day, for example. Before the Supreme Court's decision, it was an average about 6 or 7. In the fortnight following the decision, it was about 30.
It's not the numbers themselves that matter so much, but rather the difference between them: more people are becoming aware of the Regulation, and that's a real problem for the airlines.
Again, I offer my sincere thanks to the Board of Jet2.com without whom none of this would be possible. I wonder if we should ask them to be the official forum sponsors?0 -

I wonder how long it'll be before you go the way of Centipede100 and Blondmark (gagged or bribed)? I just hope the airlines don't 'get to you'!0 -
Well if anybody is going to bribe anybody else please can I be first in the queue, I might not have a clue what I'm talking about but definitely open to bribery!
I think it's easy to speculate why members decide not to post, I had at least a six month gap while my case was stayed by the courts, but now I'm back, other members might or might not return I guess it's up to them ;-)After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I believe Blondmark received a 'very generous settlement' (I am paraphrasing there, cannot remember the exact words he used) on condition that he removed his posts.
I don't know why Centipede100 stopped though. The above is just my opinon - which counts for nowt! You must make up your own mind.0 -
