Brilliant work - I was complacently delighted with my unsolicited voucher for €150 until reading this pdf which suggests cash of €600 to be my entitlement!!0

Won't go into minor details but following our delay in August I got this reply from British Airways
"Your claim has been refused because flight BA1407 was delayed due to airfield restrictions being in place that were outside British Airways' control. Under EU legislation, British Airways is not liable for a compensation payment in this situation."
Have you heard of this before ? Plus, we were only alerted to EU compensation because a fellow passenger told us en route to our hotel and said he had successfully claimed for the exact same flight twice this year as it is NOTORIOUSLY late!
I have asked them to send it to the flight investigations team, which they say they have. Any advice would be most welcome!0 -

Thanks for taking to time to share your knowledge Vauban, its easy to follow and I'm sure will definately help people out!
I do think 2.4 should be bolder and even in red and underlined, then there might be a lot less of those 'you know what' questions!!
Just a bit confused with:
6.2 Use MCOL for single claimants or the 'paper form' N1 - does that mean for multiple claimants you should use the N1? but you said in 6.4 that your MCOL stated the claim for you and your family, and didn't they pick you up on that in court if I remember correctly?
I did the MCOL for me and my family and it wasn't picked up on (yet), but I am helping some friends with their claim and don't want to get it wrong.
So please can you confirm which is the correct route for a claimant with a spouse and children? Thanks0
