Having now read the BPA Code of Practice (yawn!). Can anyone tell me whether Appendix C, 9 (2) (a) specify the vehicle, the relevant land on which it was parked and the period of parking to which the notice relates;
has to be specific, ie outside a property number, or is the name of the road sufficient?

If it was on-street parking then the street name is probably relevant.
Where they usually fail is the period of parking part.0 -

Whoops, so it does !! However, I am sure he wasn't standing in front of my car for an hour !!!
I have put a note under the windscreen now asking not to be ticketed as I am not part of the schemeCan't do any harm!

Just seen the parking attendant coming round.
I explained the signs don't conform to BPA/AOS code of practice. He said the BPA have been round and said they are okay!
He also said that we are one of the only companies that have access to DVLA database. I told him that all BPA/AOS companies do. He also said that they do take people to court "my boss is in court right now prosecuting people". Yeh!!
However, one thing he did say, which I would like some clarification, is that because we don't have our own allocated parking space then the Management Company own it and they can impose what rules they like.Thank you for reading this message.0 -
The management company doesn't own it, the owner owns it. Obviously.
I already told you the landowner can impose whatever rules they wish on their own land. I also already told you that (i) whatever rules they impose can't override what might be in any leasehold or tenancy agreement you may have and (ii) they can't penalise you for breaking those rules, they can only claim their (vanishingly small) losses arising from your breach.
I don't want you to stop fighting this, but people around here are going to run out of the patience to help you if you keep re-asking questions that have already been answered.Je suis Charlie.0
