Yep in terms of your appeal if you get a PCN! Wouldn't it be a shame if a few signs fell off...or snapped in two as they are flimsy rubbish?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does the signage have to be displayed in a particular direction, ie facing drivers as they arrive on the road, or does it not matter as long as a sign is 'visible' once you have parked? What about height off the road?

Have a read of Section B18 and Appendix B here:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just when I thought it was all over ... I got a ticket this morning. I will re-read the advice on the stickys. However, I thought I would upload the ticket, just in case there is something wrong with it.

  • The main thing wrong with it is that it isn unenforceable invoice masquerading as a parking "fine".

Follow the advice in the newbies thread.

"It is an offence blah blah blah" is a breach of the BPA Code of Practice clause 20.5c.

    Does not identify the creditor.

While you are waiting for the Notice to Keeper (which will also be defective in various ways) study the Newbies thread and prepare your initial appeal and your PoPLA appeal.

What breach are they alleging you have committed?

I can't see it on the ticket.

See the bottom box in the first section 'no permit'.

All residents were issued with unique permits by the Management Company of the estate. I refuse to register and display it. I have been living in my property for nearly 14 years and they only just introduced the scheme at the end of last year, so I have not agreed to it.
