I am sure there is nothing in the deeds (I am a leaseholder), although haven't checked them. The suggestion of introducing parking permits was only made at the end of last year.
The Management Company had a 'consultation', ie "we plan to introduce ..". I told them that I wasn't interested in taking part. Their only reasons was to stop people selling cars or abandoning cars on the street. It is hardly prolific and there has been no problems parking to date. (There is an abandoned car, of several months across the road to me - side window smashed, but has never moved. They also got a ticket!).Thank you for reading this message.0 -
Definitely check your leasehold.
Do you have you're own parking space or just a free for all?0 -

One point, is that ours is a quiet street - no through road), and vehicles park vertical to the kerb. Pedestrians often walk in the roadway rather than the pavement. Parking bays are vertical to the pavement and some vehicles park inwards and some outwards, which means to check all the vehicles someone has to walk in and out along the road!Thank you for reading this message.0

Have you checked your leasehold yet?
Whatever your leasehold says, would trump any made up rules by management company and PPC.0 -

Not had an opportunity yet. If there is no reference to parking arrangements (as I believe) can the Management Company introduce a new 'rule' / 'term' ? The road is a private road, ie not adopted by the local council - does that make a difference?Thank you for reading this message.0 -
I'm not sure, one of the experts would need to answer that.

And oddly enough it's still there. So the ticketing works well!Je suis Charlie.0 -

Just appeal it to PoPLA and win. Then do it again with the next ticket, and the one after that...and give all your neighbours copies of your successful appeals so they can do the same thing. They'll eventually get cheesed off with paying PoPLA £27 each time and leave you alone.Je suis Charlie.0 -
They have been around again today! I was (unfortunately!) out so they didn't get my car, but the abandoned car across the road now has two! I wonder how many it will collect before they give up?Thank you for reading this message.0
