Hope the chat with the boss has reassured you a bit Pushkin. The pampering sounds lovely - good for the soul as well as the body ;)

Thanks Bookworm - sounds like you could do with some pampering yourself - working too hard etc.

Stayed up too late watching the penalty shoot out which was very exciting :j

Good nights sleep though and just did a fab dog walk while listening to a comedy podcast, makes a change from the true crime ones I usually hear.

Watching the politics shows, then will do some housework before going to my parents for a bbq.

Won't quite be a no spend day as I need to buy some poo bags.

Paid balance off the holiday apartment today, I know the money in the slush fund account was there specifically for it but I still feel sad to see the funds reduce. Am definitely getting worse on that level!

Also ordered a new office chair for the study. Seem to have to buy a new one every couple of years as it gets so much use. Have spent more than usual (nearly £200 ) in the hope this one lasts a little longer - we shall see.

I feel the same Pushkin , due to interest rates I've moved our small savings to TSb accounts. OH wants a hot holiday somewhere and I won't part with the cash, even though I've saved for it. Will probably give in ;)

The problem with not buying any chocolate etc is when you have one of those emergency "I need chocolate now" situations. :D It happened to me last night! I ended up stealing some of DD's chocolate cereal. Shame on me.

Busy few days, away at a funeral on Wednesday which meant to Norfolk & back in a day.

Yesterday went to the cinema and today have been to the Hampton Court Flower Show. First time visitors and only went because we were given tickets someone had won but couldn't use. Fab day out although I got a spending head on so we did buy a few bits. I find as I get older I like to have souvenirs from such trips.

We are also not picnic people which doesn't stop me moaning about the high cost of refreshments at these shows although I guess I should just accept it as I'm too lazy to bring our own food.

Also took the pooch to the vets for her annual check up so more spending.

DH is getting a take away for this evening as DS got a good(ish) report.

Tired today and still stiff from all the walking yesterday - bit ashamed to admit that

Cleaned up the house then went with DH to the garden centre to get a few plants - spent £70 :eek::eek:

They do look pretty though as I went for really colourful ones -just hope I manage to keep them alive! Maybe not the best idea to buy them 2 weeks before we go on holiday :rotfl:

Also lost my f1tb1t at the flowershow yesterday and to my shame I got home and ordered another one, also got one for DH and am hoping we will be competitive with one another and spur each other on!

Was planning on visiting a NT House today but it's pouring with rain so not sure now, will see how it goes. We haven't been to one for ages so want to get back into it.

Collected stones while on the dog walk and used to pot the last of the plants we bought yesterday. DH just need to do his herbs now and then we make the effort to keep them all alive! Fingers crossed.

Have about 5 loads of washing to do today to try and catch up so a very domestic day.

No more spending on my credit card now until the cut off for the August bill.

Our holiday is less than 2 weeks away now so I need to start the lists and make sure we have the toiletries etc. Everything has been paid for except for one night in a hotel on the way home. Also got the Euros a while ago which in retrospect was sensible as we got a better exchange rate - luck rather than judgement :rotfl:

Had to buy some diet coke today - am trying to diet (not sure why as holiday is next week so they'll be no difference by then) so am drinking more than normal. Apart from that the usual mid week no spend day.

Dog is out of sorts - spent the afternoon lying in the garden by the back gate and didn't eat her post walk chew. Why do these things always happen right before she goes to my parents for her annual holidays?

If she is the same tomorrow I will take her to the vets. I know it isn't money saving but its worth the £50 to get her checked over and I actually hope she is ok and it's money wasted. Will be worth it for the reassurance. See how she is overnight.

Lots more rain today, still have washing from Sunday hanging around not quite dry. Grrrr
