Feeling really bleugh - today I have just eaten and slept thereby making myself feel even worse. This not working lark is tough on the old emotions!
Registered with an agency earlier this week and all seemed very positive, they even rang me with a likely 2 week temp contract afterwards. Sadly it fell through hence my bleugh mood I think.
Going to the Ideal Home Show tomorrow (Groupon deal) which will hopefully perk me up. Need to be more disciplined and plan something to do every day otherwise I'm on a slippery slope regarding my sleep habits - not to mention weight gain.
Oh and to add to my mood I worse my new shoes yesterday to walk to the doctors (20 min walk) - gave me 4 blisters!!! Hope I manage to wear them in, I've had this issue before - shoes totally comfortable in the shop then unwearable afterwards.0 -
Feel a bit fraudulent writing on here at the moment since I'm not earning any money. Still no sign of any work and to be honest it isn't sitting at all well with me. Hoping it will pick up after Easter.
Food intake has gone through the roof, dread to think how much weight I've put on.
On a positive note just claimed £60 cash back from car insurance renewal in January - should be in my bank account this week. Also claimed £40 for a survey payout which will come through over the next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately DH's car is going into the garage tomorrow for replacement brake pads - sounds expensive!:eek:0 -
I really feel for you Pushkin - it's so hard when you've worked all of your life regularly and then have to suddenly change everything. I'm often guilty of finding I have wasted an entire day on doing nothing, or plan to do something and keep putting it off. It's also tough not getting the work that you want. I remember being unemployed for 6 months (whilst living with the in-laws - at least you don't have to contend with that!) and it was so hard to get up in the morning.
You are not fraudulent being on here! If you are, then I am. Being mortgage-free is as much about economising and being careful with your money as it is about earning.
I hope after Easter something interesting comes up for you.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Thanks Amycool - I think this is a process I need to go through mentally, and posting on here helps keep me on track - trouble with not working is there is more time for shopping!
On a plus note my courses have all come through so I can start next week, try and put some more routine and discipline back in my day!
Lovely day yesterday, cleaned the lounge and then dinner at friends house - had my first Pimms of the season and got rather tipsy!
Just been to garden centre with DH for a few new plants to replace the dead ones.
Did an Easter Egg hunt for DS - surprised by how excited and happy it made him - he's 15 but he was so chuffed.0 -
Not been on here much of late -not really feeling the mojo but I am working hard on 'mindfulness' and trying to be more positive.
My courses have come through and I am nearly half way through Prince2 - quite dry and I am struggling with my mind wandering so am doing each module twice and may well be returning for the hat trick before I think about booking the exam
Just about managed financially this month, by my calculations I'll be able to use slush fund money for the next 3 months so won't need to touch the redundancy balance until at least August - but surely i will have earned some money by then - I"ll be certified insane if not. The highlight of my day today was having a chat with someone while queuing in the newsagents!0 -
:rotfl: I'm now that mad person that takes great pleasure out of chatting to strangers. Very occasionally I'll have a chat that actually interests me at the school gates and it brightens up my day!
The course sounds boring. Hope some paid work comes your way soon.
Great that you don't need to touch the redundancy money for a while.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
