Hi lisawood78 - I wasn't sure but called them and they said they would investigate... Next day I had an email to tell me the value of the refund and the money was in my account! Just call them and they'll go through it. Good luck!0

I'm sorting on behalf of my husband, he works away and I won't be able to call them for him.
Thank you for the advice though, sure it will be useful to others.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Hmm, according to Experian (via email)
Hubby opened his account in 2007 at 6.99 per month and it went up to 9.99 per month ('for an upgrade') in 2013.
Doesn't tally with what I have been reading.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Thanks to your newsletter last week I used your template to ask for a refund from Credit Expert. Today I have received an email stating they are refunding me £197.65, thank you very much!!0

Hi,
I posted off your template letter on 18th March and have received an email today saying "While we are still not upholding your complaint, as a gesture of goodwill we are giving you a refund amounting to the difference between the price of the full CreditExpert product with insurance and the version without the insurance".
They are therefore refunding me £250. Thank you moneysavingexpert.0 -
Sent Martin's template letter with my details and just had an email stating that, whilst they're not upholding my complaint, they will refund me plus interest :j :j :j
Would recommend people to do this based on how quick it was to personalise the template and the cost of a second class stamp!0 -
Can anyone tell me how I find my subscription reference number? I've looked through all my emails from them, from when I first took out Experian, but all I see is email addresses and passwords, no numbers. Can I pursue a claim without it?Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0

Just thought I'd let you know my success story with Credit Expert.
I phoned up, complained I had been paying for ID Insurance and wanted my money back.
They told me I would hear from them within 5 business days.
The next day I got an email saying I was being refunded plus 8% interest and the money was in my account there and then.
A nice £76 to help me out.
Thanks0 -

I phoned up, passed some security details and then asked them for my number which they gave to me. They then went through the process of complaining on the phone, and I got my money back the next day.
Its really easy!0
