Well I looked into my bank account today and there's £148 from Credit Expert, along with £140 from Avon Insurance for an unrelated claim for unwanted insurance sold along with my RAC car insurance. Today has been a good day!!:rotfl::T:j:beer::D0

Well i literally per chance while looking into my reclaim for my Barclays packaged account happened upon the article for reclaiming from creditexpert just yesterday. I called up 11am yesterday and explained everything from the script and today barely 24 hours later i've had £157 dropped into my account!
thanks again MSE!0 -
Thanks to my email subscription the last email I got contained this blag. I was shocked as well as you guys. I read and saw how much Experian was conning us out of. I immediately downloaded the letter (wanted to use the draft as it contained much more than I could have said). I sent it recorded on Fri 10th Apr they received it on Mon 13th and got the money paid directly into my acc as I currently member (since Jan 2012). I got paid on 15th £135.36. This is because Jan 2014 I phoned to cancel the subs. but they offered me a lower price of £3.99 with limited service. Although I joined on a free trial I let it go on. So I let accepted the new offer and is still going on.
I don't know why people like Michelle1478's case is taking 10days.
1) Did you send a template letter from this site, if so did you send it recorded delivery if not do this again.
2) Did you send an email this should be considered as proof so chase them.
3) Did you phone them did you get the name of the CSA or the call ref num. Chase it through this.
But best one for me was send the template letter inserting your details via recorded delv a few pence will be best spent when you are successful.
Good luck to the rest of.
A small msg to chanz4 who said this scam awareness had been going on b4 MSE picked it up... but I thank MSE for bringing it to my attention a £135.36 that I would have missed. If a message is repeated by different channels forums word of mouth etc. the more hear about it the better. These organisations, companies need to hear out that you might con people like me but thanks to people like Martin the Peoples champion we get to know about scams like this. It is a Scam if they are not transparent to earn their food on the table then I will call it a scam.
Now I will having read this forum about not needing Experian to tell me about my credit score and can still get the same report for £2 if I chose to, and the lies they adopted regarding this scam has made me angry and will phone to cancel it.
Thanks to Martin Lewis many times over for this exposure. Keep it up. You should be honoured for this as Peoples Champion.0 -

I wouldn't even bother paying for recorded delivery.
I sent the letter template as an email to customerservice@creditexpert.co.uk with a footnote including my full name, DOB and current and past addresses to avoid any security delays and got my letter and cheque through the post within a week.0 -
Hi SeduLOUs thanks for your response. I am happy that you got your money.
I merely opened up a few options, they are not exhaustive. It is a response Michelle1478 hasn't got yet. If a letter with set response date is sent via recorded del. then she might have a reason to complain and if that is not responded then she can take it avenues opened to her.0 -
I have just checked their website and at the bottom they still have the sub note on continuing the subs. after the free trialA monthly fee of £14.99 applies after your free trial. You may cancel during your 30 day free trial without charge. New customers only. Free trial period starts on registration – further ID verification may be required to access full service which may take up to 5 days.
Are they allowed I wonder they should have put in the price minus the insurance and given the option to choose.
It is a scam to get money out of you. New people considering sining on please don't read this forum you don't need it.0 -
Jut received a letter and I have been given £37.25 back x Just waiting on the hubby now.0

A quick phone call to Experian last week, using the script, and I've just had a cheque through the door for £236.93. According to their letter they are still not upholding my complaint, though I think I'll accept their so called "practical approach to resolving your complaint" as a win in my book!
Cheers MSE!!0 -
I emailed Experian with my complaint about the ID fraud add on, I used the template from MSE. 5 days after the email I have received £90 plus £14.71 interest. Now they are sticking to the 'We believe it was sold correctly and they are not upholding my complaint, but as a goodwill gesture they are refunding the difference plus interest'. Funny that, cause I would of thought if they believed they were in the right they wouldn't be making any refunds!! Big THANK YOU to MSE for bringing this to my attention.0

Yes I get that but the email generates an auto response with a reference number promising they will "aim to respond within 5 working days" which for me would be a perfect basis of a chase up complaint without having to fork out on postage.
Other options are always a good thing if an avenue fails so don't think I'm 'having a go' by any means. Was just pointing out that this is a moneysaving site after all so why spend money on postage if not needed? :T0
