So sad, Vanilla, to hear about Bo. (((Hugs))) for you and the whole family.

And a (((hug))) for you, too, Dusty.

Five trips later and the sundeck has been cleared because the sky turned even greyer, and now the sun's come back out. I'm going to be doing the laundry hokey-cokey for the rest of the day. I have no idea when I'll ever get the last load done. Boring.
    Better is good enough.

Good afternoon everyone, I haven't posted on this thread for a while but I have just had a light bulb moment and really need to get my house sorted out. I have worked with DH this morning to put together a list of things that need to be done in order to declutter, organise and clean both the house and the outside area. To be honest it has got to the extent where I have had enough and something needs to be done.

    My plan for Saturday
Schedule in the diary the list that was made this morningDONE
Move all of the stuff out of ds2's roomDONE
Give ds2's room a quick cleanDONE
Move ds2's bed into his room (moving him out of master bedroom now that he is 1, he was 1 last Saturday)DONE
Wash the dishes in the kitchenDONE
Catch up with the washing Work In Progress
    Do paid workDONE
Look for missing course work Work In Progress
    Water the plantsDONE
    Feed the animalsDONE
Check through back to school stuff and make sure all kids are organised
    Catch up with emailsDONE
Catch up with the thread DONE
Spend an hour looking for freelance workDONE

I think that is enough to be getting on with today.

Vanilla: (((hugs) to you and all your family. I'm sad for you, but glad you've got so many happy memories of Bo and a beautiful place to remember him.

Welcome back MMM. Your DS2 is a year old already? - how time flies!

I have managed to get the 7 loads of washing done today but very little else except sleep, after all my efforts with the visitors this week :o
About to go and do some gardening. The house can wait until tomorrow or Monday ;)

  • Hello all,

Bit of a Newbie/lurker with this thread but figure I can dive in as im feeling productive today,

Done one load of washing and managed to get out on the line in the breeze - its ALmost dry..about an hour away (thats if the rain holds off  ) , then can put it with yesterdays washing and hopefully get the ironing done before tea!
Cleared out the 'under stairs cupboard of doom' - Was fed up of knocking things off in there and I fell over in it the other day trying to reach something and was so stuck had to shout OH for help!! - Im a perfectly able 20 something year old but I was just THAT stuck. :rotfl:
Got rid of a few carrier bag loads of stuff from said cupboard
Sorted out finances-moving money around etc
Ordered sports tv package for OH (he's paying for it!!) and managed to end up on a cheaper monthly deal through doing so - £5 better off each month :T
Tried to look at my pension AVC but not the right info to log in - shame
AND I managed to bake a quick lemon drizzle loaf for when we go to the inlaws later tonight :p

To do - work on my photobook from my last trip.
De-clutter my hard drive! - does that count on here as cleaning?? :o
Simplify and then Simplify some more!

Back from Yorkshire. DD is happy with the Uni, the course and the place *phew*

And she's hoping to transfer to the shop near the Uni *crossed fingers* so she will have a p/t job!

    Sorry about Bo, Vanilla x

You must both be very relieved Valli, congrats to your DD.

Sorry you and AF are at logger heads Dusty, may she leave you in peace soon.

    Welcome VMD

Glad your DD is happy with the uni, Valli.

Washing finished and dried, and HHI done while DH was on the phone to his cousin.

Must re-make our bed and then see what DSH wants to do this evening. He suggested playing "Upwords" (bought for £1 from a charity coffee morning this week :money: ) or watching "Monuments Men". It would appear that he is incapable of multitasking :rotfl:

    So sorry about Bo x

Took DH & DS2 to meadow hell this morning to look for anniversary presents. It will be our copper/wool one 1st Sept. Found some bargains so have started the C.......s shopping

Dailies done. Having IBD flair up so going out was brave. Have microwave cat on tummy (like a wheat bag not real cat) for the pain.

Hope you find a way to give Ted his bath LW x

Glad Miss Valli is happy x
