Genius pigpen I've just emptied my under-sink cupboard in the ensuite and it has some sticky residue that won't wipe off the shelf. Off to get the wd40...
Kids are having a moany day so I'm ignoring as best I can rather than erupting ;-) dinner is en route so hopefully that will keep them quiet for a while.Bossymoo

I have been running a small business from home and attended a few events so need to get the accounts all up to date. Also need to decide whether to carry on or not. I enjoy it but without a designated work area (nowhere to make one in current property) its such a pain getting everything out. I was busy over the Christmas period with orders but my lounge looked such a state with bags in various parts of the cutting out/constructing process.

Dogs walked, rubbish/recycling/composting put out, washing on line. Stain has come out of seat cover. Just have the job when its dry of putting it back on - that is like a work out in itself.
Having lunch at the moment and will then get the hoover out unless DH is home first. He hates the noise.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

The WD40 worked :T and the kids are now full of beef and Yorkshire pudding so are in much pleasanter moods
Have spoken to my brother and broached the idea of us visiting him next Easter. It's a long flight, and our school holidays only overlap by 3 days! But he seems ok with the idea and has sent me a few messages with options. Even said we are welcome to stay if they are not there! (I had said we will find a hotel but he said no). Maybe he wants us to dog sit lol.
It will be nearly £3k for flights in total if we take my mum too - better get saving - we will be wanting spends and possibly accommodation money. We might do a few days with my brother and a few days in a hotel to give them a break from the riff raff
How exciting!Bossymoo

Well good progress happening here, 2nd load in the wm and 1st load hanging up. I have done an hour of ironing ds2's stuff but probably about another 3 hours to go as only 1/4 way down the basket.Youngest having a nap and other 2 are watching a dvd. Having a 10 minute break and updating progress then I will get back to the ironing, as determined to get ds2's caught up with today.0

Afternoon all, thanks everyone for your lovely messages. He had a good send off and I'm glad he knew us and that we were there.
This morning has been go slow with Ozzy walked and dw emptied and back on again, everyone fed.
Plan now is to get the clean washing put away, which has been lurking for over a week. Ozzy needs a bath as do the rest of us. Need to take a look at finances and get a plan sorted.
DS1's birthday tomorrow, he's got all presents early so just cards tomorrow morning. Will sneak kids in to write them later.
Hope everyone is well xx“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Well I ventured to the back of the cupboard of doom. My oh my I am married to a hoarder unfortunately. We agreed when we moved that he wouldn't bring any rubbish with him, but there's a whole new lot or rather there was. I have filled 2 charity bags, one rubbish bag and have only allowed him to keep a display unit (nothing to put in it though) and an old toaster (in case our current one breaks, haha).
Also I have been very MSE making new dog beds recently, only to find 3 brand new dogs beds in the cupboard. And I found our original picnic blanket after we bought a new one, chair cushions I didn't know we had and it goes on and on and on.
Having another cuppa now having also cut DHs hair. Then I suppose I'd better make a start on our roast dinner.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Have also just done a vinegar and soda crystal wash through the machine. Then spent an hour looking for DH PS4 camera that he has never used (not in the box with all the other bits ' cos that would have been the obvious place leave it.......Men).
Had a bath and washed/conditioned my over bleached hair - decided to ditch the red so 2nd lot of bleach highlights. Looks awful at mo but I can have other colour mixed in next time just got to wait 2 months.0 -
Been busy with other non-flying stuff the last couple of days.
Visited the in-laws yesterday - journey usually takes a bit under 2 hours - we were in the car for 3 1/2! We had a restaurant table booked for 10 of us at 12.30 and finally arrived at 1.40! Luckily they were not too busy and able to hold the table for us. And thankfully we got home again in 1 hr 45 so not so bad, but still rather a long time in the car for one day.
DH has pulled out the WM and checked the filter at the back, which was clear, and as I've cleared out the one at the front I'm hoping the dryer part will now work. Otherwise I will have to call out the engineer again - luckily it is under warranty - it is less than 2 years old and this is the second time the dryer has packed up.
We've cleared out 3 lots of gerbil cages so there is sawdust all over the floor, so I need to hoover that and then get on with the dinner.
Busy week next week too, but I'm hoping to fit in list stuff around the busy-ness. Still finding the best way to tackle it, but feeling slightly more motivated than a week ago!May spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000
