Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you to Natty for last weeks thread
Welcome aboard if you are new, jump right in with whichever day you join us on. Returners welcome home. Regulars time to up your game and get some cleaning done.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up.
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Evening! I'm in - thanks Dusty :A
bonnie - hello! Good to have you back on board x
I have started building my new giant ratty cage so this week I need to do a major declutter and rearranging job in the front room to accommodate it!! Also have a lovely new 'retro' look music system to set up which is much smaller than my current one (and doesn't have 2 giant speakers either!!).
So far I have sorted a box of CDs and DVDs for the charity shop and a bag of various bits and pieces which I really don't need
I will need some[STRIKE] kicking [/STRIKE]gentle encouragementto keep going with this. I know I will love the new, nice, tidy, sorted front room - I just lack the motivation to do it
It probably won't take that long when I actually get going

Thank you to Dusty for the new thread and to Natty for keeping us flying for the past fortnight.
Well done, Skinty's DD1 :T
I've done a lot since I posted the long list on Friday, and have postponed some less urgent things until after my brother and s-i-l's visit, so my list for tomorrow (and probably early Tuesday morning too!) looks just about manageable:
- ring the dentist: I think my new filling has already dropped out
- WMx2
- shopping
- hang mirror in the guest bedroom
- fix cabin hook on the bathroom door
- check the LR curtains which have drooped at one end
- cut and fix plastic radiator pipe covers throughout the house as I clean each room
- weed the flowerbeds and prune a couple of wayward shrubs
- finish planting out
- bake choux buns and a sponge cake
- cook gammon in the SC
- send rubbish to the tip with DH
- clean the downstairs windows: DH will help with outside
- weed the flowerbeds and prune a couple of wayward shrubs (fortunately I mowed the lawn yesterday, before the rain, and our sandy soil will have dried out again by morning)
DH :A has painted 100 small polystyrene balls in a variety of colours for me
I may not have much time to post, or even catch up with the thread, this week. Spoons will be left out in the pot on the kitchen worktop as usual - please help yourselves when required, Natty, Lame Wolf and anyone else who needs one.
Will now go and wrap DGD2's birthday present and dab a bit more paint on some water pipes before bed time! Hope everyone has a good week and Flykids get the exam results they need x0 -
I'm in this week and plan to follow list. Need to wrap ebay stuff in morning and get it posted then have 3 appointments.
