Hi all; we're in as far as doing what we can when we can, this week.
Mr LW has an appointment with the nurse for a "wound check" tomorrow afternoon.
Congrats to Lynne's DH on the new job.
JTTOU As a volunteer, I don't think you have to give notice; but I'd feel that courtesy would require a week or so's warning that you're packing it in. Just my thoughts.:o When I wanted to step down from my role as regional co-ordinator, I held on til there was a replacement for me, as it was just me doing it, and it would all have fallen on the district manager, as well as doing her own role; but if you are one of several doing the same thing, I'd say a week's notice would be adequate.:o HTH.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Piggers: How big does an insect bite need to be before a sensible person would see a medic about it??
10 of my 16 bites got to about 5cm across, enough was enough which is why I'm now on antibiotics as the antihistamine cream wasn't enough. Go to the doc!!
Just taking a quick break from the paid stuff. Before the paid stuff, I got two lots of washing done, now dry except for one skirt, walked the dogs, WUDUPA and did a quick hoover through the house.
Need to pop to docs now for more meds then back to the paid stuff.
I have 1 bite on my thigh.. otherwise I'd share the pic, but I don't want anyone sicking lol.. it is 10 inches wide by about 7 high.. yes inches.. and it is evil. I don't even know what bit me but OH was bitten too and he has a mark smaller than a 5p .. He said it needs checking.. I think its fine and will sort itself..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

crisps on stairs - quite normal I think*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
Pigpen - is it swollen and red and itchy - if so you must get to the doctors immediately! You could have a reaction to the bite or an infection and sound as if you need strong antibiotics to clear it up.
I know - if I get bitten I always react that way as my lymphatic sytem doesn't work. I once had 28 midge bites on the back of my thighs which were al infected - I could barely sit down they were so painful.
Thanks for the advice LW. Think I'll wait until the shop manager is back on Monday and go in and chat to her - I have chatted previously about my problems but nothing has worked with the other volunteer so enough is enough. My health comes first. It is supposed to be a voluntary job after all - so my DH says.

Dusty, I hope the GP appointment was straightforward, did not involve the need for tests and the problem has been sorted.
Piggers, seriously - that bite sounds problematic.
Ionafan, thank you for posting months and months and months ago about your goldfinches on the nyger seeds. It took weeks for them to find the feeder here but we now have a flock visiting every day and they are tearing through them. Lovely.
The forecast here is terrible for the rest of the week, so no more washing is being done here. *shucks again*
Kitchen needs a bit of a drubbing so I'm going to get to grips with today's listy.Better is good enough.0 -
Appointments all done and lots of money decluttered but 5 pairs of glasses needed so not too bad really.
OH and DS1hving a power nap which shall ruin now or they'll never sleep tonight. DD can go for a bath and boys can help with kitchen. Really need to fix all computer things today it is all so slow.
Piggers I think you need to go see the doctor.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -

Getting rid of stress - that counts as decluttering, right?:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
