Flagging already and not done much!

Feel stressed about GP, loads of you will know what that's like. Going to do a HHC in the kitchen then at least I'll have done something.

I need to get rid of a couple of double blankets - they could be used rather than thrown - any ideas
I think Pathways in Chesterfield only wants sleeping bags (my Mum took a couple last week for me) but the Salvation Army (there are clothing banks all over) will take the blankets or alternatively local pet charities sometimes ask for old blankets and towels.

I don't know why we put off doing it, it was a doddle to fit :o

My washing is blowing around on the line quite fiercely, I keep expecting it to sail off into the distance but it is not quite dry yet.

    Hello!

Just having a wee break here. Paid stuff chugging along nicely, and have hung a bedding wash out, which then got rained on but now the sun is out again, rather blustery here so hoping they'll dry off. Got a big Spanish style omelette on the go for lunch and snacks / brekki tomorrow.

Other than that I shall have to fly after work as I seem to have plenty to keep me going.

Great news on the job, lynne woot!

Since the kiddies are away I'm using part of my birthday spa voucher tomorrow for a manicure. They are also going to call me if there is a cancellation for a shoulder massage too. So I'll take something suitable to work to change into, just in case...

Weather dependant, we may go back to the caravan on Wednesday evening...

  • Afternoon all. Sending hugs to those that need them. Congrats to your DH, Lynne.

Did really well at the start of last week but af and feeling down won towards the end of the week. Had a better day yesterday though, the girls had emptied everything out again and it was impossible to get in their room so I put everything in to boxes and removed it to the living room to sort. Still some to sort in their room but they cant pull any more out (but I now have about 16 boxes piled up at 1 end of the LR to sort:(

Valli-How was the car boot? was it really busy? Its only about 2 miles from us (if it was twin oaks) and we keep saying we will try it as it's later start but never have yet, Altough most of the stuff we had to take had to go in the skip a few weeks ago as it had all gone mouldy in the shed. I don't know what you want to do with the blankets but when I was on FB lots of animal rescues were always after blankets and things.

Ive been busy this morning in the kitchen and dh has been to DIY shop for light bulbs and to fetch some dog food. Want to finish the kitchen after my coffee and get back into the girls room. Wish I had put my washing out earlier as going really dark now. My list today now looks like this...
Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep and mop the floor
Clean the sink and slush the drain out
Exterminate, exterminate get rid of those annoying hotspots
Sort out the cupboard under the sink, give it a good wipe out

Cupboard under the sink is going to take a looonnnggg time :oso better make a start.

  • Hi - thanks for extra spoons Ionafan I most definitely need them now!

Question - as a volunteer do you actually have to hand in a formal resignation? Never done it before so don't know the correct protocol. I have kept on and on and on but it is just too much for my disabilities - especially when the person doing three full days to my two half days does "not a lot"! Feel really sad but must look after number 1 and DH will be mega cross if I say "just one more chance" because I've been saying it since I started there in March!

Going to get lunch - make a phone call - finish my book and then triple HHI at 2pm - anyone joining me?

  • Right back on with the official lists today, I may do a bit more organizing once I have knocked everything off later.

!ngeus appt done, makes a change for someone to read the case notes before I come in, so no fountains of stress tears today.

Time for a brew.....then I will see what else can go!

Exterminate, exterminate get rid of those annoying hotspots
    Extra Mission

How big does an insect bite need to be before a sensible person would see a medic about it??

It is really normal for a 2 (almost 3) year old to line crisps up on the stairs? ..

Piggers: How big does an insect bite need to be before a sensible person would see a medic about it??

10 of my 16 bites got to about 5cm across, enough was enough which is why I'm now on antibiotics as the antihistamine cream wasn't enough. Go to the doc!!

Just taking a quick break from the paid stuff. Before the paid stuff, I got two lots of washing done, now dry except for one skirt, walked the dogs, WUDUPA and did a quick hoover through the house.

Need to pop to docs now for more meds then back to the paid stuff.
Spend less now, work less later.
