Morning  We are in at the Skint Pitz again this week.
DD1 was on night terror duty last night as I have !ngeus appt. She came in at 6 to say she was finally going to get some sleep as DS had just conked out. He has just surfaced and is full of the joys of spring!
DD3 and I have been out in the garden since 7am putting the privet bushes the builder dug up along the boarder on saturday into rubble sacks ready to transplant out into the front garden once the block paving is relaid......it's taking a long time to do as we are pulling out all the bellbine and nettle runners etc out of each one before we bag the bushes up with recycled compost and m!raclegrow.
Having a quick brew now, and will try and get today's list knocked out in a bit before heading out as I think my cutlery drawer of spoons will be confiscated before I get out of my appt.
Righty-ho.......hope everyone has a good week see you later flyladies and flygents :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Thanks for the lists this week Dusty, I will be in hopefully.
Hope everyone came through the weather safely apart from the odd lightening strike
Hope you've had a good night's sleep Natty and are refreshed enough to be able to cope with your niece, sounds like hard work when you aren't used to it.
We are on full blown exam results stress here, deep breaths.
DH decided to start de-cluttering at the weekend so we ended up taking 3 FULL car loads to the recycling centre from the garage. A car boot full to the charity shop and plans for much more. :j
We also finally(only 2 years later) fitted a retractable loft ladder so when I've finished work (I'm up in the attic), I'll be able to close the hatch and walk away. Loft hatch on its way from our friendly undertaker neighbour today (it's awful to think how many things in our house are made from scrap coffin woodgood job I'm not squeamish/macabre).
So all in all, quite a productive weekend. We also planned a lot of the house jobs that we will do/have done when the debt is cleared next year.
Will tackle the kitchen after work.Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

Hi Karen and welcome! For me I have a plentiful supply of soda crystals and Mr T value brown vinegar in the house.......I run a sink full of hot water with washing up liquid first and have a good scrub around, then let the hot water straight down the the plughole. I then shake between 1/4 and half a bag of soda crystals down the hole, trickle the malt vinegar in slowly so the soda crystals start to froth.......leave for 30 mins then sluice down with 2 kettles of boiling water.
Other flyladies will no doubt post their own tips, but best one is never ever put fat or oil down the sink ....EVER! pour it into a cup to cool and wipe worst of fat off oven trays/chip pans etc with kitchen towel before it goes near your sink or DW....if your local tip takes used cooking oil save it up in empty oil bottles and get rid when you do a big declutter or put out in your weekly waste.
Good luck! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I'm in too please. I didn't get everything on the lists here or my own list done last week, but I did get more done than usual, so that has to be a positive.
I didn't manage to meal plan last night, so I'm in the middle of that, but had to google a recipe for trout fillets as I have some in the freezer that were on special, and having gone through all my books I don't have a single recipe for them!
Today I have S&S, cleaned out the filter on the washing machine, and finished washing some towels (which were supposed to have been done over night but the wm complained at at the blocked filter and refused to carry on) and almost meal planned. I just need to decide what to cook for people coming on Thursday.
Plans for today -
write a shopping list and go shopping
roast a chicken - it was going to be for all of us, but it is our wedding anniversary today and MiL sent us £20 so have decided to go to the Harvester and take advantage of their meal deal for £10. The chicken will feed the kids today and hopefully all of us tomorrow too.
Clean the kitchen floor
Do some work with DD
Start some planning for the work we will be doing in September
Phone and book DH onto the sailing course (his birthday present)
Do some aural with DS for his trumpet exam
Keep the kitchen clear
Wash remaining towels, tea towels etc and tumble
Take our money from the Post Office and collect DH prescription
Any time left - keep going on the budgeting
That should keep me busy!
Hope all goes well for others today.May spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -

Morning all, still trying to get kids up here. DS1 had a fab day yesterday and meet 2 of his fav players and pictures took. So I really must order proper photos this evening and get some put up.
Kids are in for their eyesight test this morning and then I'm meeting a woman who is buying a bag of baby clothes off me. Very good start to the week. Later DD is back at dentist, so flying will be done inbetween all.
So far wm and td on.
Hope all poorlies are feeling better soon.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -

Good morning all - thank you for your sterling work keeping the thread going, Natty and Dusty.
Tiny bit of thunder and lightning here yesterday but today dawned bright and sunny if somewhat breezy.
I have put two loads on the line and then made a start on the stuff from the car boot sale. To store it until the next one (! - DS is keen!) I have cleared some space in the shed, which has had a sweep and a tidy as I worked. So far I have a large box in there, a small box in there and the computer chair and there is STILL space! I have also spotted a few other things that can be sold! I have been visited by Benny Bunny as I worked - he was MOST interested in the shed and ke[t popping in! Then a black cloud loomed so I decided to fetch the washing in - and it's dry enough to iron!
Last night I carried on with the bedroom tidy - I now have NOTHING on the floor that shouldn't be there:T
I need to get rid of a couple of double blankets - they could be used rather than thrown - any ideas?
We have no milk but as I will be off to Morries later to drop DD I shall get some then - 2 birds and all that!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Morning.
Lynne - Congrats to your DH :T
I've been up since 9am after a lovely lie in, only disturbed by the binmen or I could probably have slept longer. DD didn't get up until 10.30Bins have been retrieved and are put a little further along than normal in the hopes the wall where I normally keep them can get some sunshine & dry out a little as we found efflorescence growing when stripping the wallpaper. Lots of little jobs done, my priority now is getting all the laundry away, clear some of the things I don't want covered in dust and then maybe this afternoon we can get on with the decorating.
Monday -
Kitchen:
WUDUPA - I've done all the recycling, DD has done the utensils pots which were covered in dust (now getting hidden in a cupboard) and is now doing another batch
clear & wipe surfaces including hob
Sort out the fridge, make a list of things to use up this week
DIY: Livingroom
- Fill holes/cracks as appropriate,
- DD to strip remaining wallpaper,
- measure up for wood for shelves/repairing cupboard & buy if weather holds for me to go and get it!
- Fix cupboard and fit shelves _pale_:think:_pale_ (first time doing stuff like this on my own!)
- dig out fireplace and get DD to start sanding the surround.
General:
[STRIKE] S&S bathroom[/STRIKE]
ironing
[STRIKE] DD to pair socks[/STRIKE]
laundry away,
file work papers,
HHShredding (DD will probably enjoy doing this again)
Tea (chicken curry with boiled rice)
Right, HHC to clear the ironing & laundry from the livingroom while DD does another batch of dishes:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
