FBthree - It looks more when its written down than it seems when I actually do it! However now I am totally shattered! And still got stuff to do - mostly my feet hurt LOL
my kids are 7, 10 and almost 12 and they still argue about who sits where on the sofas -we have 2 two-seaters plus another chair and yet they cannot manage to sit in there without fighting  They drive me insane.

thriftlady - OMG don't tell me that, my 3rd one is due when my two are 4 and almost 3 so roughly the same gap as you. I shall be coming to you for help on dealing with 3, I can tell! How do you deal with the constant whines of "he hit me" "she kicked me" " he knocked me over" "her feet are on my half". Inevitably one comes to find moe otherwise I'd just ignore them

So how many oints in those banana and choc chip slices ? I will be back on WW when baby a couple of months old, ther will be a looong way to go

Since 5.30pm (when I said I'd be back in 15 mins!) I have:
Done Tea, bath (well faces and teeth) and bed for children - although 4yo DS is mesinjg around and has been out of bed 4 times now - a wee, a poo, hurt his ear, and just now dropped something down the side of his bed. He looked so upset it was so hard not to go up and give him a cuddle but I was strong and told him to get back to bed :(
    Tidied play room
Tidied garden toys so they don't blow away whilst we on hols
    Cleaned kitchen floor
Cleaned front of kitchen cupboards and appliances
Cleaned inside of fridge (v easy as its practically empty).
    Watered house plants

Only got all this done because MIL called round unexpectedly at end of tea - I thought "OH NO" as I didn't have time to entertain her. Anyway I got her to do the kids teeth, faces, stories and then I just said night night.

    So still to do:
Get through an ironing mountain - will do in front of telly
    Pack
Wrap spare car seat (in binbags ready for flight) - we're planning to take a spare a friend kindly gave us and leave at Mums - hubby can do this, tape and bin liners are out and ready for him!

Right, going to start ironing, giving myself til 9.30 so 45 mins then will take a break for half an hour then do half my packing . Well thats the plan!

    (((Queenie)))

You are not measured by what you do but by what you are and there are a lot of us on here that count you as a friend!

I have two ironing mountains and gave DDs frozen chicken kiev and potato waffles tonight!

I normally cook from scratch but had been out all day with DD(18) looking for jeans, shoes and a summer job for her.

We had a really good day together and I do not regret any of it.

Part of the wisdom of old style is to know when to be good to yourself and that because you "can" do something it does not mean that you always have to do so!

Hope you have a much better day tomorrow - (for your sake) - not because you have to be some sort of superwoman.

DD(13) had her first day back at school with her arm in a cast and a sling!!!

She got lots of signatures on it and seems better adjustd to it now.

    Hugs to everyone.

JillD - are you like me, suddenly fine a spurt of energy to get everything done for the hols, which in reality I should have been organising for weeks beforehand, and then either get on the plane or get to the holiday and crash in a big heap (if your kids let you!!)?

    Good evening all :hello:

    BIG HUGS to Queenie :grouphug:

I haven't been around since Friday as I've been v.v.busy all weekend. I went to a 50th birthday party on Saturday night :bdaycake: and a fantastic Prom on Sunday (French baroque music with African dancing - had to be seen to be believed but was terrific! It was broadcast live on BBC4 - not sure if any of you saw it...)

Today I have been up in a quiet corner of Norfolk for the interment of my grandparents' ashes. Grandpa died in 2001 and Grandma late in 2006, but they were inseparable during life and always wanted to be interred together with their ashes mixed up in the same casket. They met at a dance in 1941, fell in love at first sight, were engaged within a week, married 60 years and never had a single argument

So I went up there - I was the sole representative from my generation, as everybody had already been to their funerals and most people were unable to get the time off work - and met up for lunch with my mum and three aunties. We had the most humungous pub lunch, then we went over to the cemetery for the ceremony which was beautiful. After that we went over to the Methodist chapel hall (the cemetery is behind the parish church, but Grandma used to play the chapel organ!) for tea and FANTASTIC cakes from the local farm shop  and there was so much left over that I got offered a doggy bag :D Then before my mum dropped me back at the station, we went to the house where my mum is staying (with some old friends of my grandparents') - it's an eighteenth-century timber farmhouse with floors that slope every which way, and hidden staircases behind every door  It's the most wonderful house, but I couldn't live there :o

So I had a wonderful day, until that is I got back to Liverpool Street and went about the apparently simple task of finding some mince and kidney beans to make a chilli. I HAD to do it this evening as I have a fridge full of fresh coriander which won't last forever! Anyway, I am NOT HAPPY with Tesco. The biggest Tesco in Central London is opposite Liverpool Street station, but they don't sell tinned kidney beans  and their mince is either £3.49 for 800g, or £2.19 for 500g - I needed 1kg and didn't fancy paying £4.38 when I didn't even know if I was going to be able to get the kidney beans! Anyway, I walked through London and went to ANOTHER Tesco where they didn't have any mince   and finally ended up at a mini Sainsburys where I got 1kg of mince for £4 AND two tins of kidney beans :T The chilli is now bubbling away on the stove for the freezer!

Oh, and I got a belated birthday present from Mum - a water filter jug - she had an ulterior motive as it's HER, not me, that doesn't like the taste of the water that comes out of my taps :rotfl: but at least she got me the PINK one from Kenwood :D

Must be off now, as I think it's time I had some relaxation :D

    Love Rzl xx
