    Morning everyone.
Not had chance to catch up on weekends threads, so hope you have all had a good weekend.
Mine has been nice, saturday spent the day pottering about getting jobs done and a few bits in garden sorted.
Sunday was out at crack of dawn for ds3 footy match, it poured down with rain from start to finish, but we had over £15 in tuck shop and drink sales, ds1 match in the afternoon was canceled thankfully due to weather, so had a lazy day watch tv (had afternoon nap!!) and making chicken roast.
Had a wicked thunder storm last night but looks quite clear this morning hoping it stays fine as its the 3 boys sports day, only 5 more days of school i cant wait for them to break up.
Off to a friends for coffee this morning as she rang to say she has loads of girls clothes for dd, so off to collect them.

Have a wonderfull os day everyone

    Good Morning All

Hope we had a good wk end. Forgive me if I wasn't around yesterday! It was non-stop for me here

OH & DS did a car boot inbetween dodging the rain! They lasted about 3hrs and came home. despite the rain, they did very well - making £30+

OH & DS did the weekly shop at tesco's, whilst I ironed all the fresh bedding, changed beds, clean the bathroom, and baked some more Hobnobs, inbetween washing & drying!

Then waited for the cats protection League to come & visit Charlie, finally turned up an hour later than arranged. They're pleased to see how much he has settled in!

Went to my brother's to fetch the last bits from his flat. Aswell as wait for people from freecycle to collect some of his furniture. I came away with 3 bin liners full of bedding & towels (amongst other things) which I managed to get all washed on sunday night!

Both kids have a swimming gala at school today!
DS is taking an old t-shirt in to get signature's from his friends. This will be an on-going thing all week.

DS had a mixed comments school report. I know he hasn't had a very good year, a long story, but due to lack of support from his teacher. She has been a right c0w to him this year, but yet in Yr 4, she couldn't have done enough. So Ive taken it upon myself to write in response! Its the last week, so what the hell!

DD at judo tonight, its her 3rd week and she loves it!

Got to wait for the council to come later to repair my downstairs loo, its an old cistern which is high up on the wall, with a pull down cord for the flush. Some how, when you flush, the cistern moves, taking the whole pipe work with it! Its not safe, and I have visions, pipe's will break, causing a flood!

    Have a great day all
    Love Emma xxx

    Good morning all!

Today is unfortunetly going to be one of cosmetic tidying. No more sorting through for me right now as I had a slight argument with my mum, something along the lines of
    M: You've not done anything
Me: I've got three bags of stuff sorted, two for the charity shop, one rubbish.
    M: Its still a mess.
Me: Well let me get on with it then.

So, anyway, yes today is cosmetic tidying, which involves finding space in chest of drawers/underbed storage etc to put things I'd rather sort out and decide to keep/charity/ebay but no such luck.

I couldn't believe how dark it was when I woke up, I thought it was rather early still, but no, just grey and dismal. Nothing a salt lamp won't cheer up though (love the orange glow of it).

But right now its time for more tea and toast and then back to tidying.
Hope everyones day goes the way they want it to :)

    Good morning everybody :hello:

hope you have a nice time with your DGS Aussielass

The weather here doesnt look too bad..........yet :p I think we must have missed the thunderstorms unless we slept through them as we didnt hear anything.

I need to un load the car after yesterdays car boot sale - it was raining when we got back so I decided to leave it till today. Then need to give the car a hoover out as it is due back this afternoon ( rental car ) so I will be without a car till Friday so am hoping for no rain this week - some chance

I was so busy with the car boot sale this weekend I didnt get the grocery shopping done so need to do that before the car goes back too as I dont think I would manage that much on my bike.

DD has just gone off to school & DDog is playing with a golf practice ball :rotfl:

Im having cornflakes for breakfast, slimfast bar for lunch and roast chicken dinner without potatoes or yorkshire puddings for dinner :( Im still on my bikini diet and lost 6lbs in the first week :T so I am really pleased about that but still have 6lbs to go in the next 2 weeks.

We are going camping in 2 weeks time to Devon but if the weather doesnt pick up we are going to review the situation in a weeks time and may have to forfeit our deposits and try to get a cheap holiday abroad. I do hope the weather picks up though as I was really looking forward to going to Devon.

Well I will stop rambling on :D

Welcome to the newbies and (((HUGS))) to those who want or need one.

Have a lovely day everybody :hello:

    Bore Da!
Very impressed with the early risers - I shall have to set my alarm tomorrow as it is back to work for me! fortunately there is a school trip so I shall be able to sort out what to do for the next couple of days. The scar is not too obvious now.

Still damp and muggy here, like the old joke : "it always rain in Wales but in summer the rain is warm".

Told my sister about MSE yesterday, she is pure OS anyway and incredibly organised so she was very interested!

Shall spend this morning checking my Christmas gift list which is probably complete for friends and rellies thanks to Boots bargain shelves & WHS reductions, just the kids' stockings (yes, even at 22, 19 & 17!), OM and the food organising left.

This afternoon we will go and collect the holiday tickets; this holiday was fully paid for by E-bay/ carboot and I have started on selling for next year.

    Have a great day!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Morning all! Welcome back CHARLIE'SMUM and welcome to TOONIE and NITNURSE! Hope you both enjoy it on here as much as I do!
Well, I woke up in the night - about 1.30 - and couldn't get to sleep so came downstairs for a cuppa then back to bed and woke up later than usual this morning! 'Late' for me is anything past 6.30 because I don't have long enough on the computer before DH gets up. We also had a brief thnderstorm yesterday afternoon but I had already got the washing dry - it's rained through the night but looks quite promising now.

I actually got most of the ironing done yesterday (don't all faint at once!) - there's only a little bit left for today which I intend to do this afternoon while watching last week's Anthea which I've recorded.

I need to pop out to the bank this morning and get some milk, so a low-spend day for me - if I can walk past the charity shops!

I also managed to get some more paperwork done yesterday and make a start on a letter I should have sent to my friend months ago. We always write really long letters to each other so it takes time and I have loads of news for her what with the wedding and our trip through the alps! We were very close friends years ago and haven't seen each other for about 25 years - since we each moved to different parts of the country - so the letters mean a lot to each of us; we keep meaning to arrange to meet up again but something always gets in the way. I will definitely get something arranged this year!

Well, DH finally got himself organised for work - he's so forgetful I have to go through a checklist just before he leaves: phone, food, flask, brain....! Duh!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

A new fitness centre has opened locally - just five minutes away - called Curves; they do thirty-minute workouts and you can just turn up at any time, any day. They've given out a coupon with the leaflet that came through the door for one week free. It's just for women - 'no men, no mirrors and no lycra' seems to be their motto! I don't know how much it will be to join but it sounds like a really good idea. They say three thirty minute sessions is all you need to improve fitness, etc. I'm very lucky that I don't need to lose weight (everybody I know hates me for that) but I would love to tone up and get some more energy so I'm going to give it a go this week and hope that I can afford to join permanently. DH and I play Badminton now and again but I never win because he's a foot taller than me and doesn't even have to run around the court; I'd love to do something else where I'd get results. Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying it out this week. I would have gone today but I haven't really got time and tomorrow I'm looking after one grandchild in the morning and the other one in the afternoon so it'll probably be Wednesday, now!

Anyway, I must go now - I want to get to the shops before it rains because it's gone all gloomy again! I hate to depress you all but I read in the paper that it's going to be like this until September - I do hope they're wrong.

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Morning All

Hope you are all ok (((hugs))) if required or wanted. Was soo busy yesterday and didnt get on here.

Huge mountain of ironing done and put away so hope (as always) to keep on top of that throughout the school hols. Daughters bedroom decluttered at the weekend, only takes her 2 mins to tidy up now but she's still not bothering! Lost count of the amount of bin bags that came out of her room. DS' will be done this week but we are better doing his one if he is not there.

Have emptied dw, loaded wm wiped kitchen down and swished bathrooms this morning. Now in office with loads to get through. Also DD has decided to spend her birthday money on a rabbit, hutch etc so need to find a local breeder.

Weather alternating between overcast and sunny - beleive its meant to be like that all week. Would be nice if summer started properly once the kids break up.

Chicken stir fry for tea, thats it from me for now, have a great day.

    Morning all

Well I thought I would get a load of housework done yesterday, but I thought I would sort out my desk as it was OTT with clutter on it, and it took me all afternoon to sort, thats how messy it was :rotfl:So didnt really get much of a chance to do much else yesterday as the desk took up most of the day. But am glad to have sorted it out, was getting so cluttered, and it's nice to have a clean out once in a while.

So today I will be doing the things I should have done yesterday. Kids room really needs tidying, toys everywhere  Already got one load of washing on, will try and get that out to dry today. Is bright here, but keeps going grey aswell, so wondering if I should chance putting it out or not

Need to pop into town later, pay bills  post ebay, get some milk and then pick kids up from nursery. Might pop into a friends house after, and if I've got time when I get back I might sort through my xmas pressie stash and see what else I need to buy.

Dinner tonite is some sort of chicken (leftover from roast yesterday) and pasta dish but not sure exactly what yet lol

Also I dont suppose anyone has any tips on how to get a cat to sleep in a new cat basket? I brought my cat a proper pet bed, as I am getting fed up with her climbing on my pillow at night or sleeping in the washing basket, but she won't go near it  Tried to encourage her to get in it, but she just aint interested :(
