aaaaaaaaaaaargh. This flipping laptop. I've just done a huge post and control c'd it but this computer has the function button where the control button should be and it's wiped the lot.

    Basically it was ..............

Soooooooooooo happy to see you back Smoky. You were missed and I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Take care. x

    Has anyone seen Racy??
    Way to go PenPen:beer:

Beautiful day here yesterday so spent it at the beach hunting for crabs, shrimping and sunbathing. Then had a barbie last night and I'm slowly making progress with the freezer food.

On the downside OH's car died yesterday and we think it's a case of "do not resucitate" and my washer is on the blink again for the 4th time in six months.

As I'm not working all summer I really need to get ebaying again but I hate all that wrapping and posting.

***Stop Press*** I think I've found the weapons of mass destruction. Someone left them in my house and they've gone off. :o Really really really need to tidy up today. I'm sure I read somewhere that it's ok to plant the kids in front of the telly with unlimited access to crisps and sweets if it's in the name of housework. Wasn't it Miriam Stoppard who said that?;):D

Have a good day all and good luck to Pink who is driving through France today on her way home. I think I can hear the bottles chinking from here. :p

    Haribo x

Edit: ~Kyle I missed you off my replacement post. Well done on the weight loss and (((hugs)))
Tahnks button not working. Will try again later.

    Dia Dhibh!

Sunny here this morning, although there was some mist earlier and we had rain yesterday so no doubt St Swithin will do his worst over the next 30 days!

Congratulations to all who are celebrating and hugs to all who are in need or want.

Have both grandsons here to-day...they were having great fun for more than an hour with the box the new gazebo came in but have now fallen out and of course it is all my fault so I will have to do some baking or gardening or some such to get them into a better mood.

Might do a barbie for them later as I have burgers somewhere in the freezer...have to admit that I frequently cringe at how tidy some people here have their freezers...will get to it soon!

One load of washing ready to go out, am thrilled with the new wm as it does a quick wash in 30 minutes and you can bring temperature on most cycles down to 20c, which is great.

When I was in Holland last month I bought 18metres of light material to make curtains for the front of house for ground floor of house, at a total cost of less than €12.00...need to paint living room first I think and polish all furniture, wash carpet or have it cleaned.....sounds like a lot when its written down.

Will have to go shopping at some stage to-day, have only tinned and frozen veg and three oranges in fruit bowl, need noodles too as they are DGS2's favourite snack.

    Have a good day everyone

Mioliere I'm a member of Curves, and I really enjoy it. I've never been interested in a gym before, but I needed to do something, they were so friendly, I'd booked in for a trial before I knew what was happening. When I went for my trial I decided I liked it, and I'm really pleased I joined.

Been doing non stop housework since I got up. Deep cleaned the bathroom first thing, did my handwashing, then had my shower. Cleaned the floor after the shower, and then got dressed.

Cleaned the back bedroom, which is where we pile up the "sell on Ebay" and "charity Shop" stuff, plus anything else we're not sure what to do with. All cleaned now, one lot of Charity stuff now in the boot of my car, and just three boxes of stuff left.

Also cleaned our bedroom window and french doors, plus the landing window.

Just stopped for a coffee, then I'll go and blitz through the spare bedroom, including the windows, and then possibly DH's office, if he's not in there. Our bedroom also needs doing, but I'll see how I feel.

Dinner tonight will be chicken salad for me and, for DH, one of the huuuge pile of HM "ready meals" (extra cooked at the time) that we have in the freezer.

We might go to the pictures tonight.

Have made arrangements to go and see inlaws on Thursday, and I need to book a B&B somewhere. That was my only stipluation about going to see them (well, that and going via Ludlow so I can visit the chicken people at Wernlas).

Right. Must Get On. will be back later xxxxx

Well had a busy morning, decided that as OH was going out on his own I should have a decent cleaning session..............so.......hall, bathroom, bedroom, sitting room and kitchen all cleaned, furniture moved carpets hoovered.......stripped the wall unit and used the wax, its looking very good now and the sitting room smells delicious........waxy lavender.........

Just had cheese and tomato sandwiches and pears with yogurt.....2 cups of tea.............

Its sunny outside, I have slung our summer duvet out of the window for the sun to get at it, then I'll roll it up and put it in a bag for the rest of the summer.....we are sleeping under just a sheet and quilt and we are plenty warm enough.........it looks like we may not need a heavy duvet during the winter, the apartment is warm......we have never had the windows closed since we moved in.

Right thats it for now, am off to drink my tea................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

morning all, well afternoon actually! Sorry haven't read through all posts yet but hope everyone ok

Not going as well as I hoped here. First day of school hols for us (kids preschool broke up Friday). I didn't bother setting alarm, DS almost always wakes about 8 and DD was in her new bedroom - I was thinking she might call for us when she wakes up as it was all strange. But no, DD didn't call, and DS woke up at 9am!!!! Which I suppose was nice but I have SO much to do today as we go on hols.

    All I have done is:-
Get myself and kids up, dressed and breakfasted.
Made packed lunches to take to have after swimming
    Extremely brief tidy upstairs
Did their sticker charts for sleeping and eating and toilet etc (this takes ages, I had to make new charts this morning - Spiderman one and a Princess one - as the old ones were full then it takes them ages to choose their stickers - currently Scooby Doo and Disney Princess)
Took DD to her swimming lesson
Had packed lunches after swimming - DD ate nothing so will have to have it later
Filled car with petrol so we can drive to airport (makes it sound like oiur holiday is exotic - it isn't - just home to NIreland LOL)
Clipped their toe and finger nails - more stickers on the chart
Dumped some washing into drier for a last dry off so I can pack it later
Dried the slide so they could play on it
Sorted out a fight over the slide
Put more sand in the sand pit
Sorted out a fight over the sandpit
Dragged them indoors screaming and kicking as I am fed up with them fighting in the garden when they'd only been in it for 5 minutes
Phoned Talktalk to cancel with them - then had to shout at children - and accidentally shouted "GO TO YOUR ROOM - NOW" at poor unsuspecting person who answered phone :rotfl:
Poor kids, they need some attention but I need to get stuff ready fopr hols. They are now happily watchig a Fifi DVD tghat we unearhterd yesterday that came free in a paper months ago.
Actually that looks like quite a lot :T
Still got to get stuff ready for DS swimming lesson, go back up to pool for lesson
Go to bank to deposit a cheque
Wrap a present for friend's new baby
Go to Post Office to get present mailed
    Get through an ironing mountain
Get kids clothes out of their rooms so I can pack later
    Pack
Wrap spare car seat (in binbags ready for flight) - we're planning to take a spare a friend kindly gave us and leave at Mums

Was hoping to get FLYing done today but actually may have to give this a miss, its only the kitchen and its fairly clean anyway.

Better get on and at least get that present wrapped and swimming stuff ready before we go out i 10 mins. Smells like DD nappy needs changing too

Have great Mondays all, I will report back later how the packing is going/gone

    Hello again all

Did the spare bedroom, and most of our bedroom. Then I got interrupted - my new Panny arrived! I'm going to offer the old Panny to my DSD. This one has a Rye bread program, and I'm just hoping it turns out PROPER rye bread, like the stuff you buy in small bags, ready sliced. There is a special paddle to do Rye.

Anyway, it was unpacked and the pan washed, and it's now on - with Rye flour of course for a Rye loaf. Another 2 and a half hours to go.

Then the postman arrived with my Rick Stein Food Heroes DVDs. I tried, unsuiccessfully, to see if anyone had a copy, and I asked at the library too...in the end, I just bought them. So I sat down with a tomato sarny (aren't tomatoes warm and fresh from the plant just di-vine?) and a cuppa, loaded DVD 3, and skimmed through the programmes til I found what I wanted.

Seeing those little piglets gambolling around again made me glad I'd spent the mney on the DVDs. The name of the producer was mentioned, but not the name of her farm. However, I checked on some info given to me on another thread by Ishtar and, sure enough, found the farm. (Here's a link in case you are interested http://thebuttsfarmshop.com/)

I'm going to place an order with them next week.

Anyway. Gotta get back to housework while the bread's baking.

    Catch you all later.

Well, I'm done tidying, sort of! I just found three small glass vases which I'd forgotten I had, which I will have to find something to put in. I was contemplating trying to make something to put in them, but I'm having trouble finding good ideas. I've just started to get into crafting and have also just started bead and wirework, so I'm not that great yet, but I do enjoy myself. Maybe I'll have a go at making a beaded flower if I can find some simple instructions.

Otherwise I had a quick cheese sarnie and handful of crisps for lunch, not the most healthy, but I couldn't find anything else (really need to get to the shops). Also, struggling to think what to have for dinner tonight. I've run down my supplies completely, so looks like I'll be popping to Tesco this afternoon.

Well, after reading what you've been up to JillD I feel a bit lazy to say the least. Here's what I've done ;)
Hung washing from last night, put next load in.
Made the kids porridge and toast.
Hung washing, put next load in.
Saw eldest off to school with friend's eldest, walkedt my 2 youngest to school with friend's 2 youngest.
Hung washing. Washing all done- good.
Drove into Worcester to buy Crocs for Dd -there is a national Croc shortage btw, but successfully bagged a lavender pair + 2 flower jibbitz to decorate them. I want a pair now.
Also bought a WWs cookbook at charity shop +2 Joanne Harris novels
Went to Tesco and spent not very much :j
Came home, put shopping away and made coffee
Sat and read WWs cookbook whilst eating 4 choc chip and banana slices(Delia recipe someone mentioned on here last week). Worked out the Wws points in the above -came to 18:eek: Oh bum
Wish people would stop posting biscuit and cake recipes on here
Made healthy WW recipe salad for lunch -tasted of nothing whatever. Had another choc chip and banana slice to make up for it.
Brought all the washing in -all dry and hardly any needs ironing -good.
Hoovered everywhere -well, all downstairs anyway.
Cleaned the top of the fridge.
    Sat down at the computer
Thinking about eating the rest of the choc chip and banana slices so that they will no longer be a temptation:think:
Trying to think of something for tea - Kids are having leftover pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce. I might have lettuce.

Good afternoon to you all! Yes, AMIE - my bank sells milk just for me! Gold Top! It's funny how things sound when you type your thoughts, isn't it? I confused people last week when I posted that friends of mine are getting married in Iceland and I know at least one person thought it was strange to want to get married in a supermarket!
DANNAHAZ - It's good to hear from someone who has already tried Curves. I'd never heard of it until the leaflet came through the door. I'm definitely going to give it a try this week; luckily, it's only a short distance away so I should be able to go for the three thirty minute sessions a week they recommend. There's no clue in the leaflet as to how much it is to join. Can you remember how much you paid?
JILLD - sounds as if you don't have time to FLY!

Well, I've been to the bank and bought the milk they get in specially for me (!) - I've asked them to deliver it from now on! Treated myself to just five minutes in the charity shop and spend £8. I bought a lovely cream linen skirt for £2, a fine bone china mug for 65p, a lovely little white china jug for 50p, two books (history books again, I can't resist them!) and a still-brand-new chrome wine carrier that will look great with bottles of wine in it and has already been earmarked as a Christmas present. They also had the most gorgeous shoes in there - a lovely deep purple and I didn't get them because I don't have much to wear them with and then I remembered my DS2's GF loves purple and, when they get married next September, she wants everyone to wear something purple (doesn't matter what, she says, even knickers will do - I don't think we have to prove it!) and the shoes would be perfect. So - that's me off to the village again tomorrow! If they're still there, of course. I don't have time today.

I have hoovered and dusted downstairs and swished around upstairs and put the ironing board up to finish the mountain at last but, first, I'm going to do some filing. I have put it all on the table ready so there's no excuse!
We're having sausages with potato wedges and salad for tea and fresh strawberries with cream for pudding, so that's easy enough.
Well, I can hear the kettle calling me so see you later - hope everyone is having a good day and, SMOKY, hope things are OK with you. Keep posting, we've all missed you.
