Ok, I do think T are being a bit over the top. How many people on here would picky up a coin/ note if they found it in the street? It isn't very different - it belonged to someone else who has left it/ lost it.£2 Savers club £0/£150
1p a day £/0 -

Not a great comparison. A note/coin can be used by anyone. The clubcard points can only be redeemed by the original purchaser.0 -

The OP can tell us what he likes. The Security guard can't. There are always two sides to every story.0 -

Can a security guard really ban you?
I would have thought it was up to the store manager.
Do the guards actually work for Tesco or a contracted security company?
Is this just a wind-up thread?0 -
OP needs to start shopping at Sainsbury.
I found a price match voucher for £7.37 left behind on one of the self service machines. I looked for the owner (no, honestly, I did), but they were long gone. The cashier was quite happy for me to use it on my own shopping.0 -
Yes but I feel that the banning is a tad excessive. Only 2 points.
was 2 points worth the effort in the first place ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Why is Tesco enforcing their own rules not good for society?0 -

:)Tesco Truro security guard considered that adding points from a receipt discarded in a trolley as 'theft' and banned me from store. There was no prior warning or anything. And it was for a measle 2 points. I'm considering to appeal. Think I have a case against them and how do you consider doing this?
Edit for detailed description:
I found a trolley in the trolley park with a receipt in it. It had 2 points on it. I went to the customer service with the discarded receipt to get the 2 points. And out swoop the security guard who claim it's' 'theft.' He took me to the back room and said that 2 points is considered the same offense as shop lifting and banned me.
So you are a shoplifter. You protest that you only stole a penny (or is it eight pence?). If you can't stand the time don't do the crime.
You are seriously complaining about being justly caught out? Crazy.0
