I on two occasions watch a bunch of travellers fill up their baskets with electronic goods and one time shopping and just casually walk out past the security guard with it. I reported it on both occasions and on both occasions the security guard refused to do anything.0

I'm not debating that it's wrong, but I think lifetime banning is excessive. I am considering appealing to shorten it to maybe 1 it 3 months.
Its the choice of the store/security guards how long to ban you for since its private property.
Maybe it is an overaction but you shouldnt have done it. 2 points isnt worth the hassle.0 -
Reminds me a wee bit of my husband's male work colleague. They worked abroad and had to submit receipts for their expenses. My husband didn't do it but this one man used to put in receipts that he'd found in shopping trolleys. That was until he was found out, hadn't read one of the receipts and hadn't realised he'd claimed for tampons lol0

Just out of interest, how did the security guard know it was not your receipt?0

To be fair, we don't have the full version of events here do we ? You can't make a judgement on whether the security guard was correct with his ban unless we have his side of the story.0 -

But seriously who would want to claim 2 points from a receipt they found??? If in a trolly then it was still in Tesco property, whether left outside the store or not.
I suspect there's more to the story than the sneaky theft of a couple of clubcard points...0 -

how sad is it to go round the car park looking for receipts with two points on them?

The OP told us what happened, it seems a simple enough story, I don't think she would lie.One man's folly is another man's wife. Helen Roland (1876 - 1950)0
