    Make up your mind.

I've edited the post to explain in detail. It was "discarded."

Sure. But the points themselves do not have value, nor does the receipt.

Perhaps the offence would have taken place at the point when the points were exchanged for money or money's worth?

I'm not sure she has. Increasingly we see this "Tesco's lore" type of thing. It's not good for our society.

You have a real bee in your bonnet about Tesco. It's a bit sad ;)

    For stray points nobody claimed?

Here's a phone number you may find useful:
    020 7632 5711

It's for Camelot (national lottery), and they have lots of unclaimed prizes that you could also try to collect.

If you had found a 'discarded' Tesco clubcard with say 500 points on it would you have tried to claim them for yourself?

Didn't we have the same thing with Asda a couple of months ago with someone going round the car park looking for discarded receipts?

Thats what were talking about though. If the OP had picked the receipt up and taken it home to make a collage im sure there wouldnt have been an issue. The problem is she tried to claim the points which have a value yet wasnt issued to him.

That's for £500. Nobody makes a £500 purchase much less unclaimed

I'm not debating that it's wrong, but I think lifetime banning is excessive. I am considering appealing to shorten it to maybe 1 it 3 months.

And do what? Returning an object on the receipt? I did not do such thing.
