    Afternoon all

Bathroom done and the PC desk was done with the hallway on Tuesday.

Made banana loaf, sultana cake and a Victoria sandwich today. The dog has neck ache from sitting in the kitchen gazing up at the cakes on the cooling rack! They're all put away now.

Two loads of washing done, including DD's bedding. All dry, folded and put away.

Oh and another really easy recipe and really good if your kids wont eat breakfast are Breakfast Muffins. Just dont tell the kids whats in them.

    Oven 180C
    175g SR flour
    50g porridge oats
    140g light muscavado sugar
    2 tsp cinnamon
175g stoned prunes chopped up really small
    85g pecans
    6tbsp sunflower oil
    1 egg
    150g natural yoghurt
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    2tbsp milk

Tip all dry ingredients into a bowl and mix.
Beat oil, egg, vanilla, yoghurt and milk then very lightly stir into dry ingredients until just mixed.(sometimes use fromage frais or any yoghurt thats OOD in the fridge :rotfl: kids never know!)
Spoon into muffin cases (7 - 10) or more if you use the mini ones
Bake 20 mins or until risen and golden.
    You'll love em.

Did someone on here have a recipe for breakfast muffins using porrage oats? Tried to find it.

Or a flapjack recipe without syrup (I have none)

    Cheers!

They're on page 2 or 3 of this thread if you mean Kazmeisters breakfast muffins with the prunes and oats. I'm going to try them at the weekend!

I've got a half day and am doing a little gloaty dance. It just looked so sunny for a change and I had plenty of flexi time so I thought I'd come home and cut the grass and hang out with the cats. I'm muttering something about the bathroom too but we'll see.

The whole presents for teachers thing is quite new on me, I don't remember it happening when I was at school but maybe we were a particularly mean family? I envy the gifts but not the job. Next time I'm out for a drink I'll raise my glass to all the teachers on here.

    Happy flapping this afternoon.

Crikey pigpen that is a lot. My DS1 is on packed lunches so just the other one on dinners, he likes a bigger meal at lunch and snack at night, makes meal times chaos but keeps him happy.

After my sleeping for what must have been 10-11 hours last night I still woke up feeling tired, shocking!! Spent the morning sorting out people picking up freecycle things, taking cot to my friends, shop for presents for Mam's birthday etc then all afternoon sorting school fayre so I've done absolutely NOTHING! **Hangs head in shame** However DP is out tonight so will be doing bathroom first then my PC area in my room, then completely remove everything from the boys PC room apart from the PCs and desks as we're putting new cupboards etc in there. Oh yes dailies still only half done aswell, got half a dog on my living room floor so will probably have to do that first.

Tomorrow will be finishing the PC room (well hopefully) boys room to do some in inc beds etc on the afternoon but leaving toys as we're having clear out next week. Morning need to go to the school when I drop the boys off to collect any left over items from school fayre to take to charity shop aswell as some stuff I have. Dogs out then back for sports day. Oh yes at some point I need to take the turtles back aswell, after much research we cannot offer the home they will need, basically were sold them with incorrect info from what we can find out.
One day I might be more organised...........

Oops sorry - 20 mins or until risen and golden. I wont make any others having made these, the ricotta makes them so moist, I now find traditional ones so dry.

Well have done nothing today other than

Took DD to school and stayed for end of term mass as she was 'reading', singing in the choir and playing in the recorder group! Gets it all over in one go :D

Then OH and I went for a spin on the bike as wont get a chance unless Grandma has DD now. Managed - just - to avoid a soaking and got back in time for delivery of my new iron, I'm excited now and will iron tonight when OH at work. Then back to school for DD. Managed to get soaked from car to school so had cup of tea and dry off and managed to get keyboard working again. Now I have to start making burgers for tea before Tae Kwon Do at 6o clock !

Ha - tomorrow is kids bedrooms and while DS will do his own there'll be no getting away from it for DD as I shall be spending time doing it with her. (The flings didnt amount to much last weekend)

been helping friend get ready for move (don;t think she's cleaned at all for 5 years so you can imagine i feel like aggie & kim!) so far i've not done a lot of my own cleaning but i have:

    stripped bed
    washed duvet
stored away new towels bought with engagement vouchers (bargain at m&S sale)
    seen dad off
    helped friend

to do before i go out:
    reference for friend's job
    have a shower & change
    clean bathroom
    hoover round

am a bit worried :( as i've just been told i need to pay £80 for my sister's hen party (next april). its a trip to the grand national and 2 nights accomodation in a travelodge. its quite good for what you get but i can't afford to pay that out now. i'm not sure whether to say i can't go cos of the cost or to ask my mum to help out.
