Wowee! I remember the 'before' pics, that's fab and you can see the lovely decor now too. Hope she's chuffed with herself and you are too!
Aimeelister, I hope graduation was fun despite having a bit of a paddle and I hope your flooded friends will be ok. Probably the last of your worries but I hope it didn't ruin your fab shoes.
Well, I went to work but got sent home at 10 as there wasn't much to do. We think some of yesterday and this mornings deliveries are stuck elsewhere in the country due to the flooding. Could mean a busy week once things start getting through though.
Mini list for today as I still don't know if my friend is coming this afternoon.
BM
WM x2
Batch of veggie bolognaise for freezer to make
Find docs for car tax
Meal plan and hopefully avoid shopping this week
I'll take it from there but it could be a whole day to myself now which is sort of nicer than working but I'm not on double time..

I missed doing the kids' rooms again on Friday (they are in a dreadful state still) because we went to London for the day/night and all day Saturday, got back last night at midnight and up this morning at 10am.
Had a lovely time, not hampered by the weather thankfully. Sorry about the rest of the country that suffered yet again. I haven't been able to catch up on the thread so I don't know where hugs are due but I'm sending them where needed *hugs*.
This morning I have wiped down the kitchen and washed up after breakfast. I've not done all the unpacking yet but there's not much really to do.
I'm kind of dreading the peace being spoiled by the kids' return home but I'm also excited to give out their presents and show them we bought a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts (and help demolish them before they get stale)!
PS well done Kaz on the immaculate room! Can you come and help with my 14yo DD's?IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -

Photos I upload onto photobucket.com then post the link, to display it rather than being a link can click on the piccy above the box you type in that has a mountain type scene on then put link in the box.
Well the car boot was cancelled because of the weather, but spotted a farm shop on the way there so called in and ended up spending money
Since got back have done the living room and kitchen floors, days washing up (apart from kids dinner dishes which I will do when I have made theirs) rearranged and cleaned half of the kitchen I left. Pleased I didn't put washing out as it's pouring down again, will use TD later I think. Have found DS2s leisure card at last in my old handbag.
Still have quite a bit to do inc the meal plans, I need the space and time uninterupted to empty both freezers completely and sort them out so probably after the boys go to bed. Think I'll have 15 minutes break time before I crack on with the boys dinners etc. Need to also explain to them Dad has decided he's staying out for the night as he's out with friends, because of relationship issues in the past I have to or they'll cry in the morning thinking he's left again.
Will post tomorrows list about 7pm ish.One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks for the good wishes re flooding. Solwaykid we just live up the road from where poor man died, we have all been so lucky and although all neighbours flooded at least they are all well. Its a bit like the Dunkirk spirit round here, people helping out total strangers etc. I tried to help in getting water and silt out of the neighbours houses today, they are both away, so we hope it is a little bit better when they return. I have to admit my 'help' is organising and directing others.
Lil_me, I have had a few of those to deal with over the years, though usually just blue sandwiches.
Anyway flying.. Today I have put lots of books and papers that were accumulating in hotspots into a pile. Washed and hung out neighbours sofa covers, prepared Sunday dinner for the workers. Does anyone know what I can do to save very wet vinyl (LPs)? Do I stand them up or lie them down, take out of covers or leave in?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Don't know if that helps, personally I would remove the covers and place those seperately to dry, stood up or maybe between towels at first if very wet (as if they fall apart and stick to the vinyl you'll loose that aswell) then clean the vinyl as described and stand on their sides to dry or dry off with a cloth.
((hugs)) thinking of you all at the minute poohbear59, every time I moan when it rains on my washing or the kids drag water in from the garden on their clothes and shoes I have been telling myself off knowing there are many in much worse situations than myself.
Well Mam came over to collect her 'ready meals' she left behind the other day, also had pork pies and choccy muffins with us. Boys fed, table cleared but still need to do the dishes. Have pegged some laundry out even if I get it part dry will help.
DS2 being a little more helpful today, haven't sorted their jobs list yet but getting him used to the idea earning 5p for doing something or 10p for a bigger job, they can earn their pocket money for a change. Instead of being erning x amount for everything breaking it into smaller rewards for them. Will try to get their jobs list finished then going to have a family meeting as such to discuss things some time this week.still winning the battle with DS1 who was told don't finish dinner no desert, he finished the whole lot in record time without too much of a fuss, maybe stubborn as he is Mam yesterday scared him :rotfl:

Never sure whether to keep this thread going 'til I've done my Sunday stuff or jump right into next week, so to speak.
poohbear, sending you some coping vibes and a hug. I lived there for a couple of years, hard to imagine it flooding. I'm sure with your flylady practice you've organised and co-ordinated the help to best effect. Hope it gets better soon for you all there.
My friend didn't show up so I've just pottered about all afternoon which has been quite nice. Did all the stuff I needed to and made a start on the kitchen. I've a little bit of ironing to do but I'll save that for telly time at 9. Makes me feel more virtuous and less guilty for daring to indulge myself :rotfl:
It's been very quiet lately, is this a sign of the week to come d'y think with the hols in England just starting? I'm not going anywhere anyhow.

Evening everyone
Thanks for all the replies about DD's room. It is such a relief to get it done at last. Its obviously going to be an ongoing battle as I have pictures on my mobile going back 7 months where its in a state. But heh positive outlook. The colour ides came from the easel and table and chairs from ELC that she already had and I just took it from there. Chose not to do a "theme" as they quickly become fads so all I do now is change the quilt cover, sometimes curtains bin etc. Think tracy beaker might be next !
Well done quite a bit today despite deciding to have a rest. This morning decided to big time scrub the grout in the shower. It is so much cleaner but cant get the mould out of the mastic so suggested tactfully that OH might want to replace it !!!
Been washing, and managed to get 2 loads dry on the line before OH told me it was going to rain so next lot went into TD (and of course it stayed dry) but have ironed all 3 lots and some stuff from earlier in the week with the new steam generator iron. What a revelation - they are brilliant. :T :T
Have cooked the roast beef dinner and cleaned up, got the dishwasher on and started what I hope are tomorrows lists. Really am going to put my feet up now as Silent Witness is on and the only prog I really like to watch. Used to be a Casualty fan like you Lil_me but kept getting told off by the family for going OMG that is so unreal - it wouldnt happen like that - they wouldnt be allowed to do that etc (used to be amb service). So pretty much got banned by the kids.
Well hugs to all that need it especially those who have grown webbed feet.
See you all tomorrow.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
