If you don't get on before you go hope you all have a great time AnW'sMum.
LJD1 does sound like a plan to invite someone over every time he comes back, saying that I would probably get sick of the constant guests :rotfl: We do need to do something about the weather, wish I was going somewhere a little warmer, I would be the sad git taking all dirty washing so I could get it done while I was there
Right, what isn't done now will just have to wait. Did plan on sorting through the freezer but I got part the way through one and DS1 came downstairs again, he's only just gone back to bed, seems youngsters celebrating being end of school term a little loudly (possibly drunk) and keeping him awake, so I've given up!!One day I might be more organised...........

Lol, about taking the washing away on holiday. I felt incredibly old yesterday as the weather was lovely and sunny and all we talked about at the school gates was the number of washes we'd all managed to put on the line!!!
I won't get fed up of his mates coming round because i'll be sure to go out with my friends. Afterall, if he's in with his mates then he can baby sit. There is method in my madness! xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -

kaz i know how you feel bout kids doing jobs
your list is not excessive.told my lot they would be doing stuff round the house over the holidays starting with doing dishwasher/washing up ds1 was 1st as going in oldest 1st.he ranted and raged over what he said was a waste of his spare time doing jobs i should be doing. how he shouldn't be expected to wash up etc. gave him a few choice words and said i wouldn't waste my spare time cooking/doing hiw washing etc:p
dd2 wanted to cook tea while i was at work, she decided to do macaroini cheese.started well then got distracted by msn and txt messages ob her phone so oh had to jump in and rescue tea:rotfl: she did do most of the clearing up afterwards so not a bad startLead us not into temptation...

Morning all. I haven't been about all week because basically I have done sod all flying wise:o. I did manage to change kids bedding yesterday and give upstairs a quick Vac around. And when kids were in bed last night i gave lounge a good going over (only because i thought brother in law might call in:rolleyes:). Not too bad though.
I think I 'm going to go make some blueberry muffins in a bit, before the troops get up. DS1 will be my best friend for ever! He's going to stop with his Sister in Manchester this afternoon. I think he's stopping for a week and a half, gonna miss him like mad. I put him on train and she meets him off at the other end but whole time till he phones to say he's safely there I'm on pins!(He's 13 by the way, So not a baby if anyone thought i was putting a young child on train on his own):o
Ok. Ta ta for now. Off to find a muffin recipe.
Nothing to declare

Morning all
Well DD1 woke up at 11.45 with ear ache so another dose of antibiotics (means she got her 4 in yesterday) and calpol. She then went back to sleep till 5.45 so better than I was expecting.
Have woken up with a cold coming out as has DH, lost my voice too so DH has phoned to tell work I will not be in today. I feel bad but if you cannot speak to people when you answer the phone its a bit difficult.
My steady see how it goes list today is:-
S & S Bathroom
S & S Lounge
S & S Kitchen
Hoover through
Change girls beds
Look for tumble dryer - dont want to do this but dont really see any other way!
Make some more lemon meringue tarts (will try to freeze a couple see how they turn out)
New harry potter has turned up but dont know if I can be bothered to start it. Was meant to be going to see the new Harry Potter film after work today so will have to see as DH has already pre-booked the tickets for me, him and SIL so would be £30 down the drain if we dont go! Littles meant to be having a sleep over but not sure myself. DD1 determined she is fine0 -
((hugs)) shell, hope you're feeling better soon, sounds like you've got some tricky decisions to make, hope everything works out ok
newmrslockwood I can understand why you would be worried, I know I would, but we always know deep down they will be fine, bet he loves the independance aswell as the fact you trust him to travel alone, hope you enjoy the break even if you will miss him. My partners Dad is always on about buying a villa in Spain or somewhere and keeps saying about when the boys are a little older us putting them on a flight and them meeting at the other end but I'll be honest I'm NOT keen.
Well I've had a lazy morning so far and about the only thing I've managed to do is get the boys fed etc and sort the dogs out. So I should really do something.

Morning all
One load of washing done and hung upstairs (not raining at the moment, but it doesn't look settled and I don't want to be running in and out all day).
Veggies prepared for dinner.
Vacuumed living room, hallway and kitchen. Wiped down all worktops in kitchen first.
DH has gone to bank to pay in insurance cheque which has finally arrived for our car so next week we should be able to start looking for another one. It's been four weeks now and it's getting quite boring.0 -
HI everyone,
Just back from swimming lessons, about to drop kids at Nannies so I can get the cases packed in peace!
Also realised I have to complete the tax credit renewal and post tonight :grr: as it has to be in by 31st July. It only arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Right off I go for now, hugs for those that need them and masked hugs to keep out the germsfor those who are poorly.

I've had that 'last day of term complaint' before, and have made the point that they can email me, text me, ring or write. This is a great age for communication, it can't be that difficult to get hold of me!
More or less the same thoughts that I have when parents come in for a moan on the last day of term. :rotfl: Thank goodness for all the others that come in to say thank you!
I guess we're all, school/college staff, parents and children, on a bit of a short fuse at this stage in the year.
But hooray hooray it's the holidays. I'm going away for a few days to the SUNSHINE and I'm not taking any dirty washing with me. I'm leaving it here for OH to do. Then home, and in and out of school to catch up on the paperwork and flylady my office.
We had our turn at floods yesterday. The cars in the road outside school were in water up to their windscreens and some local houses were flooded. But it all went down again really quickly, though obvioulsy leaving damage.
Hugs to all that need them, whether it's due to illness, excess water or just plain old irritation.
AnW'smum, have a lovely lovely holiday. I hope it's just perfect for you. You deserve it.0 -
Where is everyone today? They'd better not be having fun
Looked at front grass and it's not too bad. The back is growing like mad so I gave that a quick mow. Just finished sweeping up and shut the shed and it started to rain again. Not like me to time things right!
Before that I took the dog out the front for a while and threw her tennis ball for her. I get tired of it long before she does...
And I've just cleaned out the fish tank. With our last solitary fish who is trying to live for ever.
Time for a nap I think. That'll make the phone ring. It normally does.
Happy holidays AnW'smum - and anybody else who is travelling soon. Hope the weather doesn't mess things up for anyone.0
