Where is everyone?
Just came in expecting loads of posts and nothing  Guess it's the end of school year rush :rotfl:
Well I've dispatched one load of parcels, and done a load of dishes. Need to put the washing out and do another load of dishes then I'll take another load of parcels to the post office and come back via Sayers (local bakers) with my lunch as I am craving a Chicken Tikka PastieAlso need to pop to the Co-op to get some spread & possibly soap powder (but I'm going to try and leave the soap powder until we get back and then go to Asda
). Just updated my signature and realised I hadn't included OH's credit card in the total for them so thats just upped that figure by £900  At least the bank loan is slowly going down, last payment for that is 15th December (and OH gets paid the 20th so we might have a good Christmas this year
).
Well I guess I'll be off then :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I'm here, just! Good morning everyone wherever you are
Is quiet so far Nicki but if anyones got a week similar to mine I completely understand! Great news that the payments will be finished before Xmas pay comes in
DS1 had 'one of those mornings' and ran home twice, I've only been home about 10 minutes but he's eventually and reluctantly gone in. All I can say is roll on September he'll be somewhere he can't run away from all the time and hopefully happier to go.
School performance this afternoon, got so much to do this morning, can see me finishing it off this evening. DP still in bed so can't even start in there yet but 2 loads of laundry out on the line now.One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Morning all
Stripped bed and I've got two loads of washing out on the line.
Almost remade bed, cat wouldn't move so I've got a corner where I've got to pull the sheet down and flip the duvet back over
I've dusted and polished all the bedrooms and done the mirrors but I can't vacuum until the cat gets up.......soft, me?0 -
morning all
seems more like morning now than it did at that ungodly hour i had to get up at:rotfl:
no need for me to fly upstairs as our bedroom is still great from doing so thouroughly on sat:D plus oh is in it.
dw on(forgot it last night) so breckie stuff waiting to go in
1 load washing out but it looks drizzly so i'll wait and see what its gonna do before i put next lot out.
bathroom needs as good go as i left the chinchillas in there over night and they have wrecked it.
but for the mo i think i might have a nap in a bit as my bod is complaining at getting up so early
anyone who gets up at that time normally has my full admiration:DLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
Morning!
I'm here!;)
Have just sat down to eat my breakfast........no I haven't just got up but it took me a while to get around to thinking about Brekkie. I thought I ought to sit down and eat when I found myself with toast in one hand, trying to eat and at the same time unloading and reloading the washing machine with the other hand. Now, you should all stop laughing and tell me how many times you've found yourself in a similar situation!
So, today so far:
- SC on with Chilli Con Carne
- DW unloaded and started to reload
- WM - 3rd load
- TD - 1st load (will this rain ever stop or do we need to start thinking about an Ark?)
- Kids bathed, dressed and fed (me too!)
- From lil_me's list - Check fire alarms are working
- Remove bed linen and replace with frsh linen
- Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
- I need to sort out what I'm wearing for the funeral tomorrow
- Get the suitcases out of the loft and start packing (we go Friday lunchtime!)
- Make Hobnobs (Inspired by Nicki, Queen of Hobnob making!)
- Go to the local Manor House for the kids Viking afternoon, 2-4pm (this has been promised if they are good this morning - working so far)

HopeElizzy.. Those first 4 letters say it all!! Hope!!
It's funny that you spend so much time writing and signing your own name that you forget it has another meaning. To me, most of the time, Hope Elizabeth is just a name so thanks for reminding me Pigpen.
Shirley Park - sorry to hear about your Gran (((BIG HUGS))) Would you like to join my Cr@ppy Week Club?;)
I had a discussion with my friend about what she would like her mum to wear when she was laid to rest. She decided on an outfit her mum had bought and worn to Ascot. We both realised at the same time that she wouldn't be able to wear the huge hat though because as my friend pointed out they'd never get the bl00dy coffin lid shut! - Why is it at moments like this you find yourself laughing until you're crying and your sides hurt? we just knew her mum would have been howling as well."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
hope i know what you mean about laughing. when my ex's uncle(more like a dad) died the family were discussing what flowers to have(they are all big on huge wreaths) when we both laughed and said they made his uncles asthma bad so ended up having silly but v funny conversation about putting cabbages/carrots/peas etc (he was a huge veg grower and thought flowers were a waste of garden space)on the coffin instaed of flowers.
we could just imagine him ranting on about bloody stinking flowers. hugs to you and your friend for tomorrow:grouphug:Lead us not into temptation...

Well the 'pumice slab' had to go. I had put far far too much baking powder in it and it nipped your mouth!
Go me for having the good idea of staying up till 1am watching a film.... soda pop decided to get up at 4 am!! Standing at the baby gate 'oh-ing' that it was breakfast time (he doesn't talk much, but we have a kind of sign thing going on) I was like, 'oh, hell no!'. Put him back to bed and had to listen to him screaming at me, 'No mum, bad mum!' (yea he says THAT fine enough!) for over an hour till he fell back to sleep. DS1 and Hubby didn't wake though - lucky sods. Then it was up at 7am..bla...
I have spent the morning trying to wake up and shake off the sicky-tiredness feeling. Plus joy of joys, thanks to his lack of sleep, hes clumsy, so I won't get much done anyway!
Got washing out, putting some more out, doing the daily stuff, will try and get my bedroom done and the hall/landing was done yesterday.
Must clean old car! Screw it, I shall take it to the power wash at the garage.
Oh, many years ago when I was a florist (have been a waitress, then a florist, then a stint in clarks shoes, then worked in a pet shop) we made a funeral item using mainly fruit and veg and sweet peas (they were in season at the time) it was all wired into a flatish basket (like they use to collect the veg) Gentleman was an avid gardener and the family said it was only fitting for him. Was very unusual, but very pretty and it meant so much more to them as he would have appreciated it. We also did one with wooden spoons painted white.0 -
I was talking to my neighbour so the cats got up to see what we were talking about:D So I've got my bedrooms vacuumed now (and landing).
Washing dry, so I've put the cats' blankets in now. Got to make the most of it with the summer we're having.0
