Banana bread, banana flapjack, mashed banana, banana sandwich, banana & ice cream, banana ice lolly, cut them in half, roll in coloured sprinkles & freeze.

Last time I had a couple of old bananas I made some banana bread, I think this was the recipe: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/7380/banana-cake

For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

    Hi chella,

Two bananas should be perfect for making a batch of muffins, or banana milkshakes are very quick and easy to make if you have a stick blender.

There are lots more ideas on these threads that should help:

    Bananas going a bit black?

    banana glut

I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep the suggestions together.

  • If I have any over ripe bananas I tend to skin them and freeze them to stick in smoothies at a late date.

  • i see you have lots of suggestions already
next time you have bananas that are going to over ripen
    put them in the fridge
    it halts the ripening
just take em out a wee while before you want to use them

having said that i seldom do it
i love the excuse to make banana bread:rotfl:

Mash. Add a good shake of cinnamon. Spread onto hot toast. Enjoy.;)
