Hi all
I am continuing with my jealously of Nintud's holiday, but the green eyed monster is not an attractive quality!! I hope you are having a lovely time N! Binnie, well done on your selling, I am an absolute terror with eBay and Amazon so need to keep away from them as much as possible!! Dozey, I'm glad you enjoyed your evening of socialising, all forms of such behaviour for me take approximately 3 days of mental preparation for me!!
Today's little joys:
1. I have finally finished decorating the home office (inadvertantly painted it a pinky brown rather than brown, hoping OH doesnt notice
), and even got the painting in the hall finished, just needs a gloss.
2. Have cancelled my Tesco delivery for Weds as cupboards still pretty happy, so set up a meal plan and need to pop to the shop for a few extra bits (£13.83) for the week so a nice little saving!!
3. Had a nice chat with the OH (USA based) for a couple of hours, and he comes home in 3 weeks!!
4. I haven't been out the house all day as been completing some tasks so haven't had to put a bra on :rotfl:
S xI have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

Lots of lovely posts here making me smile
I was a bit low yesterday mostly brought on my pain but the low feelings took advantage of a weak moment
eventually turned my frown upside down so my list is for two days
1. All 4 kids cleaned their rooms (properly) and created NINE loads of washing  last one has just gone in.
2. Low mood meant I didn't go to BBQ which actually turned out to be a good thing as most attendees are still half dead and DS2 was unwell but no hangover for me
3. I was up bright and early and a live-able amount of housework is done
4. Fitted in a massive four hours of cycling watching and two of my favourite riders claimed gold and silver (two weeks ago I was crying and yelling at my TV because Jack Bauer was caught virtually on the line)
5. "Binge-watched" the other Jack Bauer last night to see the end of 24.
6. Remembered to get the steak out of the freezer for dinner tonight
7. Teens came home early and aren't being difficult after a weekend with grandparents
8. Didn't have to visit out-laws
9. DS2 is better and he's played nicely with DD2 all day WITHOUT a computer or XBOX
10. I haven't spent a single penny all weekend and have loved my time at home. Only 3 workdays and I'm off again for nearly two weeks

Great idea. Today, I took on a cash in hand job, earning 40 for 2 hours work. I sold a guitar and made 146 quid. And I went for a half pint with a friend, and he payed.
Good Sunday.

Today's positives...
1) a lovely lunch out with the family to celebrate my Gran's birthday
2) the girls' team beat the boys at the Logo Game this afternoon
3) washing all done
4) I've sorted through 2 boxes of stuff I had on my desk. Chances are most of it won't go back on my desk!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

I love this thread. A few comments have made me smile & I have been thinking about my 3 positives. I'll post yesterdays positives as so far today hasn't been a wonderful day because I'm in work - I'm sure it will improve though.
So my 3 positives for yesterday are:
1. DD2 woke up with a big smile on her face. She always does but I always love seeing it.
2. OH took both DD out for a walk so I got a few hours to myself.
3. I went out for a run. I never thought I would enjoy running but I love it now. Good form of exercise, fresh air & I get to listen to any music I want without somebody else skipping it :rotfl:
When I go to bed tonight I will reflect on today to find some good in today.

Little bit jealous of you LittleMissGiggles. I LOVED running. For all those reasons you said but have been told it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to again a few weeks ago. However, this does lead into my positives...
1. I realised last night that the physio exercises are making progress
it's painfully slow but it's going the right way. It's now 10 weeks since I used a walking aid :j
2. I had a very short day at work, was home by 3.40pm, missed all the traffic and I've been sat in the garden since with a cup of green tea (finally found one I like!)
3. I have done a full calculation of money in/out and I really believe I've cracked budgeting at last - it's been a seat-of-my-pants ride since my LBM but I've got it
4. 18 days to payday (and also dinosaurs day
) transport is already paid for AND I'll be able to clear two non-DMP debts freeing up £160 per month from September
5. I was given some more complex work to do and I did it! This helps two colleagues and alleviates my boredom. My job isn't difficult but there is a massive amount to get through. I have streamlined things and I'm incredibly lucky that I can do it with little effort but it does mean that I need more stimulation which I now have
Hope you are all having a good day and finding some reason to smile.

I know this is a positivity thread but today has been awful.. Our beloved little bunny has passed away.. We are devastated. But the positives are:
1) she would have died a long time ago if we hadn't realized she had a problem with her teeth and spent a small fortune on her
2) she had her favorite treat this morning and a cuddle
3) we loved her and she knew that. She was a rescue and it took her a while to trust us. Once she did she did completely and it was lovely
4) she was a wonderful family member and we were lucky to get to know her so well and that we spent so much time with her
She really was the sweetest little thing we will really miss her. Sorry to bring the thread down.
Other positives are:
1) my old uni friend called yesterday afternoon and asked if she could drop in. I said yes when normally I would automatically make an excuse
2) the house still looks nice
3) I have made some money selling old books online
4) I can still think of positives despite being heartbroken.
Bye for now0 -
Big hugs for you and they bunny, they are so much more than just pets!
My positives for today are:
1. Had time to prep my work for the week, though still all nervous for my first full week!
2. Its been a non spend day, and as hubby has been called away I had a big fat goats cheese pizza to myself (Im a pizza fiend!)
3. Have spoken to mortgage advisor and our mortgage has been extended for a month so will get to keep the offer of a whole percent less!

((Dozey Crow)) it's rotten losing furry family. Well done on seeing the positives of her life and on letting your Uni friend into your life too.
My positives for today are:
1. We spent the day at a hotel water park between Paphos and Coral Bay (will try and find the Piano bar, must remember to ask my Dad as he seems to know where every bar is!)
2. dS4 swam with just two arm foam floats for a while today. Massive progress from when we arrived
3. I went on the two biggest water slides. OK, one dropped me out of a hole before I'd caught my breath, flipped me upside down and convinced me momentarily that I was going to die.... But I didn't die and two paracetamol sorted out the headache that the water rushing into my sinus produced!
4. I tried cherry & vanilla ice cream and it was wonderful.
I have decided to bring more ice cream into my life when we get home
