Morning ( as my Dad says its morning til he has lunch :) ) Diary and Good Readers

Yesterday was a better day and Was busy, I was shattered by the time I rolled into bed.....

    I achieved:

    1. Taking my vitamins
    2. finished another chapter of my book which I take notes on
    3. Read The Gentle Authors blog instead of stockings it in the thread file :rotfl:
    4. sorted my bank accounts out including a new secure key thing on my new phone.
    5. Then looked at budgets and was :shocked then turned :_pale_. I now would like to count my blessings as we are fortunate, DH earns a good salary and we are not struggling to make ends meet. However, my earnings help to cover improvements on our home, holidays etc, I also realised that a big portion goes on me each month, Pilates, Oestopath and sports massage, however, this keeps me both upright and well... . We do have joint debts and so we need to become very :money: tighten our belts and I need to generate some income.
    6. More emails and admin sorted - the list is decreasing :)
    7. I helped prepare supper (chicken in mushroom sauce) and then apple and rhubarb cobbler ( fruit from our garden). All items from freezer and store cupboard :T. For my dear Daddy who came for supper bringing...
    8. My first sewing machine - an adult one a singer hand machine. I have seen an idea of "sewing" fabric images onto cards. I have the fabric and the cards from last year, and so its :money: Christmas cards for this year.

Over supper, we were discussing HG produce .... More marrows - anyone want one ! And Dad had arrived just in time to trim and cut runner beans (sadly not homegrown).i recalled how My Mum use to Blanche and freeze our HG beans to eat with Christmas Dinner. He then went onto say that Nanny ( East End who brought up 9 children during WW2 ) use to salt green beans. Grandad had two allotments and I observed how this was how Nanny managed to feed everyone on a low income. A tale was then told how, Grandad would order all his seed potatoes and seeds from the allotment association, whose base was the other side of the park.... So Daddy use to have to take the wheelbarrow and walk to collect it, while my Grandad accompanied him, via taking the bus both ways :D. I would like to say now, my Grandad was not lazy, he worked hard all his life, bringing up 9 children, on no benefits, he survived WW1 and worked in "distribution" in Fleet Street, ie. he loaded the newspaper bundles on to the vans on of course night shift during WW2. He was a man of little words.

The evening ended with bake off - sad to see Chetna go, but I think it was fair.

The one thing about this series, is the baking is loosing its Britishness, they don't seem to want to repeat things from earlier series, I think that's a shame as I liked to think I might have a go at what they were making and nothing really attracted me this week.

Loved though Jo Brand on the extra slice.

Hmm I think I had bette go and do something on my to do list.....

    1. Watch Casulaty - oh no Jeff :o
    2. Watch Dalzel and Pascoe
    3. Watch - The Graham Norton Show

    I'm really not a tv addict:rotfl::rotfl:

    6. I have added about 8 squares to my crochet lapghan #destashing

    7. Posted on here.... And read more of other people's diaries.

And Lastly Mr G and Miss F have kept me company and amused, although both really really want their tea and are trying to look cute. DH is here and is ignoring them .... He is looking at his eyelids to their disgust :rotfl:

My cats know when it's 7pm when they get a treat. They appear from nowhere. Now the dog has joined them. They're not daft. It looks like another productive day for you by the way :)

My personal debt ( this is not the joint debt that I owe as a couple)

    Halifax CC - £131.47
    Owing to joint £471.52
    Overdraft £431.00
southwold £365.00 - this is for the week I'm spending on my own as research

Currently the only "income" to pay this off is my "pocket money £50 allocated per week from the joint account.

Currently the only monthly outgoings are charity payments of £55.00.
£50 is to my church (just halved it) and £5 to the JST where I met my DH, this is a 200 club and I won £100.00 a couple of months ago.

The other :eek:when reviewing the joint budget at the weekend is £550 is budgeted for Pilates, Oestopath, and Sports massage.

Feeling very awkward about this as not bringing any income in at the moment. However, DH is comfortable with this as he sees how healthy they are keeping me, and if I stopped I would seize up and work would be totally out of the question.

Note to self - 100 Challenge has been paid up in advance to Day 30 12th October. Using the percentage allocated from my last payslip for charity..... Sent direct to Halifax rather than messing about in and out in Mrs B account :T:T:T:T

    Plan of Action

    What can I eBay?
What quick wins can I do to get work?

:rotfl: .... My darling Miss F appears on the scene every time she hears cutlery :o. I am very naughty and give her morsels of meat if appropriate. I did this on Weds when Dad was here.., I mused that my Mother would have had a hissy fit, as this would not have been acceptable. :o. She adored cats and had one most of her life, but there were household rules.

I can get away with it, with Dad as I know he feeds Miss F from his plate as well :rotfl:

Mr G on the other hand snores his way through snack times mostly and as long as he has brekkie, tea and supper he is happy. In their previous household ( they were owned by my osteopath, who was allergic too them.... ) they were only fed once a day.....

As Mondays go.... I had a great day yesterday - all achieved at home as it was pouring ( and yes the central heating is on.... It's for the cats really! )

    So what did I achieve:

    1. Read both my fiction and non fiction books - small amounts as was busy
    2. Finally synched my birthday present only 4 weeks late - it's strapped to my wrist, I am 60 points towards my 500 points target... Going swimming later... To see what this achieves. Apparently I slept for 9hrs 45 mins and of this 5hrs 17mins was restful sleep ... Interesting
    3. Nearly caught up on all my historic emails
    4. Managed 3 loads of washing
    5. Wrote an update and thank you to my GP - who is fab
    6. Earned some real pennies by doing another couple of hours bookkeeping
    7. Had a sports massage and he uncricked my neck... So no more giddiness :T:T. Lots of areas were painful so I needed it. Had to close my eyes and roll them behind them... Re some of the things he was telling me :rotfl::rotfl:nymphomenia on Netflix anyone :D
    8. Cooked supper ( now don't fall over in shock as DH nearly did) was leftovers and I peeled loads of spuds, mashed them and we are freezing them so I feel :money: for eating leftovers and spuds.
    9. Tonight is avocado and bacon pasta - told DH we need to look in fridge before freezer
    10. Knitted and crochet both blankets
    11. Watched The Kitchen on B2 was like G33glebex it was FAB great laugh before bed.

Failure - forgot to take expensive vitamins :o:mad:

So au Revoir that's my next chore and then out in the sunshine to do errands

    PS - NSD :T:beer::j
PPS - actually no  as sober for October Day 6

You are doing so well NSD and day 6 of sober for October. Sober for October is never going to happen for me with my holiday on the horizon :) Plus the list of things you've achieved - well done :)

    Afternoon all

Today is about [STRIKE]fighting[/STRIKE] no I mean managing my fatigue levels hum..... :o

Didn't get a fabulous nights sleep- not sure why except I feel its that part of the month... Ate a Lion Bar yesterday... Only crave chocolate at certain times ;)

So today is plodding...plodding is good I keep telling myself while looking at the long list of things to do and that carping voice of parents saying what are you doing getting working you can't just rely on DH etc.. (Both Dad and in laws have started to ask) I feel pressured. And although they have asked about job hunting they haven't voiced the last bit... I just feel its hanging in the air.

So need to focus on what I've achieved yesterday.....

    1. Delivered thank you letter to GP and was rather taken aback when the receptionist started to open it in front of me - I must have looked aghast, having said this was for Dr A .... She said unless I write on private and confidential they open them... I hastily did. I know post is opened but, I was a little taken aback with it being done while I stood there.
    2. Took back Audi book - unread but neighbour and husband got it out the car CD player, after the garages £600 quote... They wonder why we don't take it to them for service anymore.
    3. finished my first column for the parish magazine - dead chuffed until the editor sent an email response, saying things needed clarifying as I had perhaps too much of a light touch... Given myself a good talking to - the editor is a friend and I need to be able to take constructive criticism
    4. I swam for the first time in weeks :T:T:T:T and managed my targets in the pool and on my new app/watch.
    5. I made dinner again, I know don't faint.... Bacon, avocado and veg pasta, using up our own leek and courgette :T:T
    6. I bought another bulb planter (after having lunch out... Reward for swimming and leaving home clear for the cleaner and her niece). Now need energy to plant those bulbs.

My aim for yesterday which is now today's is to finish my oestopath s books ......

Oh yes and take my vitamins like a good girl.....

    Ta ra for now
