  • Morning Diary and Lovely readers.

Thank you Beanielou and Sunaddict for dropping by..... And my birthday wishes.

Chanting to add to my food for thoughts.....

Sitting here, in the window overlooking my Bramley tree, fuchsias and roses plus the greens and golds that makeup the beautiful palate that gives hope of life and renewal. So helpful the sun is out..... Unlike yesterday when everything was grey.

I was grey yesterday and spent most of the day Sofa surfing catching up on favourite TV programmes and of course knitting my mind was very Woolly and I couldn't think about the next 10 minutes let alone anything else. my tank was definitely empty however today is another day and although tank is not full it's certainly much better and I can start thinking of things that I need to do.

First on the agenda is I've booked myself on a coaching and long term conditions course, with a fab tutor, really excited about this as I can see this to be the future. However I am stalling over whether to drive or train, one or two night stay to manage energy levels and accessible/non accessible accommodation.... Positive and negatives to different combinations of course best options are :eek:in terms of cost. ( cheap b&bs and mobility scooters not an option in bath).

Thinking more and more about the spoons theory and making this a visual coaching tool both to practice on me and future clients.

I've started a list of my spoon activities that is giving me lots of food for thought :T and reflection. Kind I of like a food diary when your on a diet, once you write it down you begin to acknowledge where you could do better.

Talking of diets... I feel so big and things including bras digging in... So I weighed myself :eek::eek::eek: I'be put on a stone in a year. So to add to the spoons diary I'm going to have to add a food one :rotfl::rotfl:

If my working aim is to coach people with long term health conditions... I need to walk the talk :rotfl:

    Finally to count my blessings

    1. The glorious sunny day.
    2. The home I live in and the gorgeous views of my garden
    3. OH who is working hard for both of us
    4. The food on my table
    5. The company of G & F Cats ( one who is snoring next to me as I write this :rotfl: )
    6. The local co, who has just delivered yummy fresh fruit and veg)
    7. The friendships and company of the MSE forums
    8. My cleaner
    9. My eyes and ears so I can see and hear, to occupy my mind and give joy.
    10. My birthday treat tonight.... Jason Donavon in Annie Get Your Gun... Sigh......

    Afternoon Diary and patience Readers

Well I was feeling guilty that I had not posted and now I see weeks have gone by.

Well I've turned 45 and resigned.... This month. In fact my P45 came today.....:T:T:T:T. So this is new beginnings.

So where are we at chez Bramleys?

    Harvest

With relief I can report that as I gaze out of the window looking onto my garden the season is changing, my family Apple tree looks gorgeous but fortunately no apples to harvest this year as the gardener did his job. Otherwise I would be still be wading through dealing with said apples. We are still eating our way through last year's crop so it is pure joy to see the tree and not the apples.

Having said that my new fav is apple cobbler rather than crumble with "cobbles" made with a generous dollop of nutmeg.

This years glut was marrows - Sunday we finally got round to making lemon and marrow jam..... Really easy peasy, and a great alternative to marrow and ginger ( which is a spice that turns me green with the smell, ironic really when its many properties is to help that symptom :rotfl:.

Bake off Wednesday - DH knocked up a batch of jam tarts - the jam tastes fab.... 6 jars so Christmas hamper pressies :money:

Tomatoes - planted them rather late - had some hoping to make green tomato chutney with the remainder.

Finally must mention the sweet corn from the allotment and the awarding winning beetroots - 50p in the local horticultural society autumn show. Just fab roasted and ate with DH roast beef or beef burgers.

Now to consider how to manovere the large sack of daffodils from dinning room table to garage  not my DH finest hour when taking receipt of them.

And to Beanie... How do I multi quote :o

 to that and :rotfl: to being busy.

My Dad has this poem on the wall

life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safety in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in a broadside in a clouds of smoke throughtly used up,totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow" What a Ride ! Hunter S. Thompson

I have this feeling its a family trait :rotfl:

    Morning Diary and Friends

Well today has started more slowly than I imagined :o. Was thinking I would be in the "office" by 9 instead I had a purring cat on my lap ( not complaining ;) ).

Spent most of the morning sitting at the table catching up on emails and reading... With a few chores intertwined.

So when sweeping up the smashed light bulb... Wishing DH was here ( he would take off his prosthetic legs and sit on the floor to sweep) bent double as I managed to drop it right in front of cat flap.... Need to look after the 8 paws in this house.

I decided to give myself at least a few days off between "jobs" to catch up with household chores ;). That's usual isn't it......

I often sit in the evenings wondering what I have achieved, so going to usual this diary as a reminder.

    1. I have a lovely tidy house as MIL was visiting and DH and I worked hard to make it so ( her home is minimalist and pristine) mines not!
    2. The weekend went ok, with her visit, FIL did a few chores - he's lovely and I get on well with him. MIL more of a challenge - we are compete opposites and I think she thinks I am as mad as a hatter sometimes. I often feel she disapproves with what I say and do....mind you I am feeling guilty this morning as I can't understand her.... If you are longing to see your grandchildren why don't you interact with them? And so I equally voice my puzzlement (disapproval)
    3. The chapter in the book I'm reading is about faith and love thy neighbour...... Lots of food for thought.
    4. In laws dug out a large fuchsia bush that I hated in our raised bed, :T:T:T as they wanted it. Now already for daffodils ( moved by lovely young man working opposite) but its raining... Had hoped to plan a few today
    5. Washing is in piles on bedroom floor and load one in machine (after being treated to a vinegar wash) :T to answers I posted on a MSE thread.
    6. I've eaten breakfast and rescued cod from freezer for dinner.
    7. I managed to catch the refuse men, reminding them we are assisted collections ( couldn't get down our road Friday on our normal day). This is making me fee really good.... As its rather a pain to sort when we are forgotten and I often loose my patience  on the end of the phone instead th deed is done with lots of :):):).

So I think its time :coffee: and another diary....

  • Well perhaps today hasn't gone as planned .... And I have watched a little more TV and Sofa surfed however continuing the achieved list.

    1. I have done 5 loads of washing
    2. Lunch and supper was from cupboard / freezer supply
    3. Took delivery and put away shopping
    4. Responded to at least 10 emails
    5. Cleared photos from iPad.
    6. Booked DH car into garage to retrieve library CD that has been put in wrongly by me and can't be retrieved :o
    7. finished a crocheted lap blanket
    8. sewed up a tea cosy
    9. Booked a sports massage for tomorrow
    10. Finished chapter on my challenge book
    11. wrote in this diary :T:T:T
    12. Oh and cleared up milk when I dropped a carton on the floor :T.

    10. NSD ( counting shopping to be yesterday)

So all in all a good day .... Considering very little energy and feeling _pale_

    4. Took the car to the garage but they couldn't retrieve the CD that's stuck and quoted me £600 :eek:
    5. Finished watching Falling Skies - very weird
    6. crocheted some squares
    7. finished a trip advisor review
    8. ate out of stores except for buying 4 crusty rolls
    9. Sorted more photos

Tomorrow we start sober for October

:T for updating but apologise for a boring email

Miss F purrs her demands for supper while massaging my thighs..... So night all
