As my FB page says I'm straight and sore :o thanks to my lovely Oestopath.

I've been like a crooked old women since falling at Rewind, but thankfully got an appointment on his first day back. It was very stressful getting there due to broken lifts, and horrendous traffic, I missed half my mindfulness massage prior to be readjusted. But in the spirit of Belinda the psychotherapist whose expert hands did wonders and concentrate on the thankful things.......

So on Saturday ..... I was thankful for DH who used his Christmas pressie (at last!) and used the tandoori cook pot and jar from Mr S that was very :money: as it was bought half price on Christmas Eve :rotfl:. He also made homemade naan - yum

On Saturday I was thankful that he did all the shopping and bought me some glorious gladioli to cheer me up

On Sunday I was relieved that we were both so tired we decided not to go to the GBBO extra slice - saving money on at least one meal out ( although having watched it sat night... It was one to have been in.... I feel for both Diana and Ian but especially Diana as I think from all I've seen it was edited to make her look more of the culprit than she was ) GBBO is suppose to be fun not spiteful.

On Sunday... I was thankful that the highlight of our day was tea and cake in Mr WR we had gone following a less than exciting trip to the garden centre lol. I. Love my home but four walls syndrome was closing in.

we did stick to our shopping list :T. Even in hobbycraft where I bought two baby balls of wool to make shoes as presents, :money: as will enjoy making and saving money buying something ready made in the shop.

I am though still staring at the preserving sugar for the glut of marrows that the trip was for !

I was finally thankful for the Roast that my DH had energy to cook, as pre MSE we would have found a pub :)

It's good to look at the positives BM. I love the sound of the tandoori cook pot and homemade naan :) Sounds like your DH is looking after you very well.

That's a lot of reading BM! Last year wasn't one of my better years to say the least! I tend to take things day by day now.

    Morning all

Today I sort of bounced out of bed finally feeling so much better from seeing the osteopath on Tuesday. I have had to laugh I thought I'd heard the post then actually found an estate agents very glossy magazine to some very very very very very very posh millions of pounds worth of houses that perhaps we might like to buy. ;) Sadly there was no bungalows that tempted my fancy!

Well I have fresh coffee on the go which is very money-saving :money:as it was a freebie when we went to stay at a holiday cottage and we didn't get round to drinking it so I am now.:)

Today is full of possibilities I have several books on the go, I need to focus on stash busting craft projects. Now I feel better I can go and use my swimming health club membership. As I have a little energy to think about jobs to do I am considering looking at the very very old suitcase that has baby clothes blankets and all sorts about the bits and pieces in that my darling mother packed away 40 years ago. And by lovely daddy gave to me a few weeks ago... He was decluttering!

I have a new projects circling around in my head working title is operation sunflower in memory of the neighbourhood who recently died across the road who made the most of every minute of his life in his last few years and died young.

Operation Sunflower - is to try and provide homemade gifts to those in our borough who may not get a Christmas present this year. My friend has started a knitting projects on a saturday morning in her local church they started by knitting scarfs and hats for a homeless project they support but apparently they also have lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of squares that they don't know what to do with and blankets. I was thinking what about some of the local residential and nursing homes where individuals might not have any friends and relatives and so a knee blankets be a fab Christmas present? I am also de stashing and making these types of blankets. Then when I found my baby clothes wondered could I actually get some dolls from the local charity shops and dress them in these clothes and then perhaps there are some young families with little income or children in care that would appreciate these? There were lots of ideas snowballing in my head at the moment so watch this space

I shouldn't be rabbiting on and should go and do something

finally things that I want to be thankful for:

    1. the pizza offer from Mr W that was scrummy and saved us buying a takeaway :money::money:
    2. the osteopath who got me straight and I now can do things :T:j
    3. Two NSD due to me being in recovery.
    4. the packed lunch and flask i took to London to see the Oestopath saving me pounds on lunch etc.
    5. my darling cats who both came to have a cuddle on my legs :p
In bed this morning and who are now snoring away contentedly.
    6. playing monopoly with my husband's last night saving money :money: not going to the pub quiz but was something different rather than watching TV.

Hi ho hi ho....it's off to do something

Operation Sunflower is a wonderful idea :)

Hope you have a productive day. If I can finish the latest book I'm reading today I'll be happy. I love picking out the next one from my bookcase. Had 3 shelves worth but down to 2 and a bit now.

Sitting in the evening sunshine, beer in hand and DH in charge of the BBQ chin chin:beer:

Well Friday turned out less than productive, did a few jobs and then made myself go out.

We have a lovely walled garden in the next door village and they serve yummy home made cakes. So a treat with my Medieval Women book for company. In the building there are Embroidery panels designed and made by locals as a millennium celebration, the work its breath taking, and so special the Queen came to visit. A post card tea and cake £4.40 not bad.

Ended up with a takeaway as neighbour popped round a beer later and neither of us felt like cooking.....it was lovely. But I felt guilty.

Yesterday we spent with friends and my Godson... We were planning a BBQ, then a voucher arrived for a bottle of bubbly at a pub we all like... so decided-to treat them as we were both tired and the thought of entertaining was too much.... The official start to birthday celebrations 10 days away :T . We came home and collapsed. I loved being with a 10 and 7 year old however, appreciated waving them goodbye.

Did anyone else watch Dr Who and think its not quite got into is stride again? Went to bed with the kindle and an old favourite book.... Plus port and cheese and biscuits :rotfl:::rotfl:

The sun has been out today and we have been pottering in the garden and then a BBQ with the kebabs from Friday night so a very good weekend all round.

1st September tomorrow and I promised myself that I need to start focusing on the future and not behave as if I've retired.

What a lovely weekend BM! I've been enjoying our garden in the sun today too. Very relaxing. The 1st of the month is a good time for a fresh start.

Hmmm I'm sitting here trying to give myself a pep talk.... Had a really bad night tossing and turning... Think my hormones are all over the place.... Period started Sat 6 days early.... Couldn't get to sleep...Mindfulness meditation and making up stories with David Tennant still couldn't switch mind and body off.:rotfl:

Wanted today to start with a spring in my step.... I love September, my birthday month, I always see it as my new year. It's currently a slow plod.... Reminding myself that plodding is better than nothing.

So reminding myself that I have achieved so far.....

    1. Tea, hot water bottle, reading and cuddles from both cats in bed.
    2. Hot shower and dried my hair ( rather than no shower and hair in greasy rags on head:p)
    3. Weetabix, home grown apples and Portugal honey
    4. Hot coffee - although I nearly put coffee in my cereal bowl!
    5. No news is good news from my employer... Couldn't cope with their demands today.
    6. Our local has reopened - has been completely gutted and looks fab...date night this week has been agreed on.
    7. :rotfl: at Fifi, I wanted a "less worn" long sleeve top, I had to delve in the canvas storage box, underneath the quilt in the wardrobe, where she was curled up asleep, she was most disgruntled at being disturbed but managed to stay in the same position...:rotfl: is now back snoring :rotfl:
    8. mindful moon quote this morning - scientifically the glass is always half full.

So has josh in West Wing says.... what next?

Firstly a prayer for Sun Addict and Mr SA this morning....

That's a lovely post BM :) Pets always provide smiles and unconditional love, what would we do without them. My little dog was such a comfort last year when Mr SA was stuck in hospital for 9 months. Now she's providing companionship for him and giving him a focus.
