Evening All
What a difference a day makes and a Good Nights Sleep........
OH has got the kettle on .... I am catching up with the major crisis of the tea caddy being bare this afternoon, and not even having a secret stash..... I did roll my eyes when OH came in with our favourite brew and comment that I could have looked in the picnic hamper :rotfl::rotfl:
Sorted two work jobs Ms Nemesis wishes, one which I had been putting off, as its a workshop synopsis on stress at Work with Mindfulness and this is the first one I have done for his group. As they say so much better when you've tackled it.
Also have cancelled the majority of my monthly charity giving £76 which can go towards the debt clearance. I feel sad but remind myself that there's always one off payments when the finances are healthier.
Part of the new me, is managing my fatigue levels, so even though is a Wednesday afternoon.... I am not feeling guilty that I watched another Lewis. I did sit and crochet.... So de - stashing and I hope will make for a lovely throw that I can sell.
Finally thanks to the rest, I made Italian courgette soup with large yellow species that I have grown from seed........note to self, perhaps a little less lazy garlic next time! No insects will be biting me tonight :rotfl::rotfl:
Together with Mr Bubbles homegrown marrow stuffed with HM mince .... Tonight's tea was yum....
Tomorrow is a Red Letter Day in our house - Fifi our British blue cat, had her eyes done (in growing eyelashes:eek:) and has had to wear a cone..... She has been good, hopefully tomorrow it comes off. It will be a long bathing session....... And no more eye drops
We will try to forget the vets bill...thankfully offset by the cat insurance
I adore books...... So does Mr Bubbles and we have 8 bookshelf crammed full...... Th only difference is he has read nearly all of his, and I well :embarasse to say have hundreds unread. I am banned from charity shops etc. On the plus side lots to choose from. So having finished Mr Kay....... I am now onto John Le Carre - a first for me, a Bookclub book, with the slight hiccup we can't go.... Well more about that later in the week.
Night night All..... As my Mummy would say.... Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bight :jAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Well the day has come to visit Occupational Health. I sincerely hope that they will get where I am and support me, but there's wondering will they or won't they.
Up to now when something hasn't worked out employment wise I have job hunted for something different, resigned and moved on. Now is different, with th encouragement of my GP and others I have stayed off work and am going through the process. It's been rather frustrating as my line manager, hasn't really looked at the process, can't really be bothered and from my observations previously is secretly hoping if he takes long enough I will get fed up and resign. I am though made of stronger stuff. I finish what I start.
The appointment is at Kings Cross a long journey on a mobility scooter from here, could have insisted on a taxi. However dearly beloved as taken the day off and driving me.
I am though looking forward to after....we have a celebration in London tomorrow night, had already booked a room on last minute , got a Real bargain on their top secret deals...... Cheaper than a Basic hotel up there. So acknowledging it would be very tiring for me and OH to do the round trip twice, we have extended our stay. We are rather excited the disabled room is being refurbished so a phone call yesturday says they have upgraded us........
Didn't post yesturday as was feeling a tad guilty. Went to have a Pedicure. With my limitations I can't get to my feet so I use to see a chiropdist.... Tried in vain to see a NHS one, has in theory I qualify for free but my local one is used to the older population, couldn't get his head around I was a working women, and couldn't just drop everything at a moments notice.
Then I discovered Jane at the local nail bay, bliss and knows about feet. Now that's not why I am feeling guilty, pedicure necessary. When OH texted me to say we had been upgraded. I looked at my manky hands and well a manicure later.
Both are bright orange and make me smile.
Well the OH is out the shower my turn..... Need to get going........ Gaston brother to Fifi is snoring at my side..... Can I stay cuddled up to him?As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Keep meaning to post...... The days keep skipping by.
Friday went really well :T OH doctor signed me off as permanently unfit to do my role. This is what I really wanted. Now got to wait for my employers to respond, they first have to look for redeployment so I've got to keep an open mind.
We then had a lovely weekend in the big smoke to celebrate a friends birthday.... It was a bit :money: we had got a late deal. Didn't order breakfast and ate a well known coffee house - suited me as I like hot frothy soya coffee.
We got discount on our theatre tickets due to our disabilities, this is fab, but on the other hand we have very limited choice of where we can sit......
We ate in the National Portrait Gallery and I have a membership card, so we had 10% off our bill. We go often so its more than recouped its cost.
Since returning I've been a bit of a crafting queen.... So can change my signature and feel good that I have been de - stashing.
Spent only on food and in the library :T
Oh :embarasse I did buy a ball of wool for 50p in te charity shop that I didn't need :rotfl::rotfl: because having been shown it I felt I couldn't refuse it!
Back to my bunting ........As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

:Waving madly - time has just slipped away from me....:p
No that's not true - I have been feeling guilty as money due to social life has been haemorrhaging :eek:
The trouble with not being able to work is that you get a bit stir crazy after a while ...........
My social life has been topped up with theatre, cinema and music festival all with hubbie or friends, so life seems more bearable this week.
Today has been a housebound NSD :T was due to pick up my new glasses today, already paid for but there would have been the lure of the coffee shop.
We were camping this weekend... First time in twenty years, great fun except when I overbalanced and fell head first into the tent, landing on fold up chairs and the portaloo!!! A dear lady came rushing over as I rather ungracefully got up - smiling "its my party piece" while kicking myself inside as I knew the consequences. Rather battered and bruised so driving a no no today.....
Reading chopinonabudget thread.... So being Polyanna today
Positively - I have finished a book and listed it on Green metroplis to sell, added a second one when I found the next one I chose I had read :T ( and updated Good reads with a review :T )
Positively - unpacked most of the bags from the weekend and had a grand tidy up
Positively - CeCelia our wonderful cleaner has arrived back from her hols in Portugal to see her Dad, has bought us wine and honey. Has done a great clean, so I don't have to think about bathrooms
Positively - Mario her hubby is here, our magical gardener, and has sorted the over grown hedge on the pavement, so will not get moaned at by the council.
We wouldn't survive in this home without them, thankfully my DLA covers the cost. It's an extra cost of our disability.
And another cost our garden waste wheelie.
Extra costs is not due to our disabilities themselves, its the fact we have no choice as to whether we can do the activities ourselves
Positively.... Homemade card to give to a neighbour with a photo inside... Memories of her husband who has died young. I love colouring in.... I'm 6 agin.
Positively, we may have disabilities and the consequences but we do have our health.
Positively... I have newly finished sewing in all the ends on my granny squares so another rug nearly done and can be listed on Etsey.

Camping sounds fun, we also take a tent away but one of always ends up tripping over the ropes at least once daily!! The air beds don't do much for missy Hinge's legs but we have fun all the same!
We really heavily on the DLA we receive for superman and missy Hinge to cover the additional costs of have 2 children with additional needs, I hope one day to have a clearer:o our bathroom often ends up looking disgusting before Muster the energy!

Lovely to hear from you.... Will reciprocate on yours this morning......
We were fortunate that friends lent us camp beds from Argos they were heavy but I we're great, and made it easier to get on and off and get dressed.
OH was sceptical but enjoyed it and would camp again if with friends lol. I loved being in the open air.
DLA - so do we - and will make a huge difference to our budgets if we don't qualify under the new PIP.
An OT once said to me, when I apologised for not washing up.... ( I have parents who are/were very house proud) that it doesn't matter, that there are other priorities in lifeAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Hmmm I can't believe nearly a week has gone by..... Must do better lol
And the rain is falling.... I feel sad its on another bank holiday even though I was praying for it in July... Nought so queer as folk
Wednesday - NSD - managed to drive myself to church.... Sad that my friend is unwell and not with me.... But positively for me, I still managed to go.
Thursday - NSD - with the exception of the window cleaner and is budgeted for
Friday - the highlight of my week, being close to the London Studios does mean the availability of free audience tickets - really recommend it. Tonight is Channel 4's The Last Leg at the Hammersmith Studios - we book a table in the restaurant - supper fish and chips, huge plate of cheese between us and oh dear a couple of (small) glasses of wine for me. I always choose small, trying to be goodand then end up having two....will not think how much....as I needed the change of scene, and we needed to get there early... Hmm
Oh and just remembered I also felt uncomfortable at lunch out.... I needed to collect my new glasses, hubbie took me... And we were going to just collect them and something from Mr WR for lunch.
Then as I got up husband announced I hadn't been paid... ( bacon sarnies have arrived) See you soon for part 2As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Hello BM
. I've subscribed to your diary. Great to see Beanie on here too. We are new to the world of disability and PIP - Mr SA has lymphoma in his brain, diagnosed last year, the biopsy caused a brain bleed and the combination of both have left him disabled mentally and physically. He was a roofer and has always worked hard so our world has changed quite drastically. You sound like me always trying to keep cheerful through adversity and I will look forward to your updates. Weather is awful here today too, I am in East Midlands, typical bank holiday weather.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
