:hello: Hi there all NSDers xx

Stick with it Suzie :) I was horrified last month how lax I had got at doing this challenge but this month has been a lot better as I appear to be getting back into the swing of it. One thing that has really helped has been (a tip I learnt from here) leaving any cash or debit cards at home when I don't need them (going over to a friends or on way to and from work) as that means I don't just 'pop into the shop on the way'. It has really helped as a few times this month I have been craving a quick 'sugar fix' or 'something to munch at work that's nicer than I have got in the cupboard' and I haven't been able to do it as I have no cash :D

That said I am up to number 9 today, really can't believe how much better this month is than last month :D. Coming in here really helps; especially on days I have spent as it keeps me in touch and focussed.

See you all soon, I know I am spending tomorrow but I have allocated a tenner and that is all I'm taking with me. May be too tired to get on here when I get back as I will have been up all day after working all night but if I don't see you all tomorrow I will see you all on Monday (which will also be spendy but am planning to keep it as low as possible)

    :hello:

Can't work out how to put a picture on on it's own but there's a pic on this Wiki link.

..............Waiting to go home, looks like it's the second day of agency staff getting in late..............................

I've actually got two of these. The handle is rigid though. Not using them was just a case of me being fussy, because of little bits of tea-leaf getting through into the cup.Using a smaller cup solves the problem of the tea being too weak.I'm a big cup person. :D

Hope you get a good sleep, when you finally do go to sleep.I remember how rubbish I felt on the odd occasion when finishing nights that I would not sleep until the following evening. This was after 12 hour nights too.Do you work 12 hour shifts yourself?I haven't done nights since 2006 though, and I definitely don't miss them.

suziebabe don't be too hard on yourself.

    t2rry have a fab holiday! :j

rockm87 maybe time to put your foot down?Just curious-why do you go with him?

Shockingly,Friday and Saturday have both been spendy days.

The excuse for yesterday was that I did an online shop, and got 10% off, plus no postal/delivery fees.I've got my sensible hat back on again,so today should be #13/12a.

I might manage an update today, but got lots on,so it'll be later.

The front page is up to date, and we have a brilliant total of 171 nsds!!! 4jqc4.jpg4jqc4.jpg4jqc4.jpg4jqc4.jpg
  • Happy Sunday fellow non spendy peeps!

  • Interesting thread. i try and follow the idea but recently its been less no spends and more late night bargains. which I dont mind as i would rather have 5 days where I have got reduced shopping and 5 no spend than more no spend days but i have paid full price for stuff (therefore spending more) I like the idea about not taking money to work. I take a card with me because there is a charge if i spend under £10 at work and i wont be doing that !
£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

  • I lost track while we were on holiday as OH and I took turns to pay for things! Friday was a NSD As shops were closed due to it being a bank holiday so that was definitely NSD #4 and I'm claiming early for today as I'm not going out again so I'm up to NSD #5 back to it properly now so I get up to my target!
