    another NSD for me.

hubby is having his tattoo added to tomorrow (an an going project) but seems to have forgotten to factor in things like petrol, car park ticket and any refreshment after sitting there for 2 hours. So tomorrow doesnt look likely as a NSD :-(

  • #4 NSDfor me please today quite impressed with that for a first week, is it cheating to have a little pot with maybe a fiver for dipping into for bus catching etc if weathers really lousy so I don't lose a nsd ??

A few do that, put their change in a wee pot and dip in they run out of bananas, milk, bread, whatever. In the past I used to put any money left from a week's budget aside (it was never very much),and spending that money never counted as a spend.

I hope that you're now at home, with your feet up,having had a nice, hot meal and have a wee drinkie in your hand :)

Ah, thanks Igor....I wish I were too but sadly I am still in the office! Last train home for me...fingers crossed it is not cancelled otherwise I am stranded 60 miles from home with nowhere to go!!!

It was either this or take work home to do and risk having to come into the office to then deal with.... which, on holiday, would not be very nice, so I chose to stick it out to the end and try to trust someone else with it whilst I'm off. Work emails WILL be switched off my phone and I WILL NOT check them (and repeat...they will be switched off, I will not check, they will be switched off, I will not check......)

Seriously...fingers crossed from everyone please for my journey home...

Oh noooooooooooooooo t2rry :( I so know that feeling, it's horrible and then you also still have stuff to catch up when you get back :(. One of the reasons I went onto nights when our funding all got altered and we were going to have a paycut anyway was to avoid all that hassle (especially as we were going to get a bigger workload with less money) so I took the bigger cut for less stress and I must admit I do feel better for it............just annoyed that she keeps palming paperwork stuff that she should be doing onto me as I 'have time' which okay I do but she never gives it to the other night person.............but I can let that go now :)

I hope you do get a wonderful break while you're off :) Sounds like you really deserve one.

Marmite- my friend got me a metal ball thing for loose tea, it's a mesh ball that clasps together with a chain so you gan get it out when the teas brewed, I'll see if I can find a pic online to show you. It means you can leave it in the cup 'to brew' like a teabag.

Gothrock- glad you are being careful but take Aunty Marmite's :Aadvice and be careful!!

Right, I am declaring number 8 :). I did buy some train tickets for Monday but have taken the cost from the money I had put away for while I am in London on Monday and I have already counted that as a spendy day (and have 'enveloped' the money so I can't spend any more than I had planned). I also know I will be spending something on Sunday as we have a stall at a local Umbrella Fair and I'll have to get something to eat during the day..............I will be taking a flask of coffee though. I can't make anything to take before as I'm going straight after I finish work on the Sunday morning and there's no where I could store anything here but will make sure it's minimal; would be nice if the boss supplied some money seeing as how me and the other girl doing it are both doing it in our own time but that's just how she is. We aren't going to be doing it again!!

Right, must run, will see you all tomorrow.

    :hello:

<<shuffles into the back of the room sheepishly>>

Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear ... I'm not doing this quite right am I ?

So far have managed a paltry 3 NSDs so far this month. I could trot out the excuses, but they're a bit rubbish, frankly even I don't believe them. I'm quite cross with myself for being so lax - even on the days when I resisted buying coffee in the morning at work I messed it up by buying a chocolate bar in the afternoon :doh:

The best days for not spending have been the days when I've not been at work - mainly because I've been too shattered to go out and spend on those days! On the plus side, I'm off work for the rest of the month so if I get my act together I might get back to a respectable figure.

Socks firmly pulled up ... Onwards and upwards!

hubby has only saved for his tattoo, so the extra cash is supplied my me. I had to have a word with him, as this is the third time and he has a few more sessions left, and he just seems to expect me to pay for everything.

Even though ive told him im struggling, he doesnt seem to realise what this means...hes never been without money so he doesnt understand what it means!

Spent £8 of christmas savings on car park, bepanthen and a bottle of drink.
