  • Only at nsd 4 but am still in my onesie and have no intention of getting dressed. So today could well be number 5.
Am actually amazed that although I haven't achieved many nsd, the days I have spent on have been absolutely minimal. Full day out with 4 kids and it cost me £6 inclusive of icecreams and tea for me.........well we had alll been really good that day. In the past it would have been way more!
But I still need more focus. L2B.x

I've actually got two of these. The handle is rigid though. Not using them was just a case of me being fussy, because of little bits of tea-leaf getting through into the cup.Using a smaller cup solves the problem of the tea being too weak.I'm a big cup person. :D

Hope you get a good sleep, when you finally do go to sleep.I remember how rubbish I felt on the odd occasion when finishing nights that I would not sleep until the following evening. This was after 12 hour nights too.Do you work 12 hour shifts yourself?I haven't done nights since 2006 though, and I definitely don't miss them.

Can relate to being a big cup person :)

Yes they are twelve hour nights. I haven't been to sleep yet. Normally when my run of four nights finished I try to stay awake as long as possible so that when I do get to sleep it's early evening and then I wake up early enough not to miss a whole day and get into 'day mode' for the next few days. I have found though that if I just go straight home and relax in front of the TV I fall asleep too early and so that doesn't work and I feel rubbish the next day :( I try to do anything like shopping or meeting up with friends in the morning and have learnt that it is by about 3o'clock that I can't drive after so if we were going anywhere I'd ask someone else to give me a lift.

Which brings me to today....:j Don't you just love it when it's an unplanned NSD :j. My workmate rang this morning as we were supposed to be doing a stand at the Umbrella Fair thingy and there has been a severe lack of interest from others in helping out. We had arranged to meet at ten to set up and it was raining. The resident we had with us was getting very stressed that not everything would fit in my car later (I think he had got very cold yesterday too) and so it was decided that it wouldn't happen today. Even though I wouldn't have got stuck with driving stuff about when we had closed it down as my workmate was going to have organised it (which would have been my only worry really). Soooo having called it off instead of having to get myself something to eat there I came home and had breakfast ;). A friend who was going to come up there to see me rang and I told her I wouldn't be there so she invited me out for coffee (she paid :)) we had a long natter and I got in about an hour ago. I have been sat here for about half an hour craving cheesecake - I know it's just because I'm tired and want a 'sugar rush' but I made myself come home straight from where I was and now I know I am too tired to go to a shop :D
Which means I can declare number 10 :j:j:j.

Right off to find some 'Sunday TV to fall asleep to' and be up early for London tomorrow.

    :hello::hello:

    I am back!!
Got back from camping holiday last night.I have spent today catching up with the online world.
Am not sure how to count NSD's for that week away.Money was spent, but it wasn't out of my monthly budget-my OH paid for most things, and even gave me some extra spending money incase it is me the kids try to pat down for cash..But it feels abit cheeky calling it 7 NSD's in a row.
And even the £12.15 roadkill found during the week (mostly 2p pieces from the arcade games):eek::eek: doesn't make up for the fact that spending was done each day.
    Suggestions,please.

Have had a hectic few days with family staying (Inc 2 very energetic little boys) so have been cooking most of the time. Found Approved Foods very useful for cake and bread mixes, so family were well spoilt at minimal cost. And have even managed to clock up another NSD, making 7 NSDs now!

Just crashing out for a well-earned rest....

  • Two tales to tell for today:

-I'm a bit of a 'biddie-in',so my entertainment is often found on the telly.I have a package deal, and was interested in the latest upgrade, except that it would cost 90 francs (about £60?).I decided today to treat myself to this, whilst I still have a full salary. When I phoned up to organize it,the women said, right at the end, that I wouldn't need to pay the 90 francs.I was gobsmacked.I asked her why,but I can't remember what she said.

-When I got to the swimming pool,I realised that I'd left my padlock and key at home.I asked if they sold them,as I'd forgotten mine, and the woman lent my one.

So there you are,two potential spends today, but the Gods are smiling on me,meaning that I'm claiming #13.

I need to up my target, but I'll have to have a think about that first.

Well done if you got an nsd today.Almost halfway through the month,so we've all got loads of time left to reach or even exceed target. ;)

Maybe tomorrow I'll manage that update...:o

Interesting thread. i try and follow the idea but recently its been less no spends and more late night bargains. which I dont mind as i would rather have 5 days where I have got reduced shopping and 5 no spend than more no spend days but i have paid full price for stuff (therefore spending more) I like the idea about not taking money to work. I take a card with me because there is a charge if i spend under £10 at work and i wont be doing that !

Hi there! :hello: Do you want to declare a target?

I've set aside a coffee cup for you. :)

Some people don't count holiday money,as it's been 'set aside' in their budget,IYSWIM.

Does that mean that you're up to #11?
