Another nsd today, so that makes NSD #4. I was tempted to nip in to the shops to get a few bits and pieces as I passed through town taxiing the kids, but resisted. We managed to cobble together a dinner with tinned soup found in a cupboard, a few bits of fish that needed tidying out of the freezer, and I made some potato bread I saw the Hairy Bikers making on the TV the other day. Very tasty
Well done for making do with what you have in the cupboards.0 -

Accidentally managed NSD #6 yesterday as I didn't do my meal plan for the week so raided my mum and dad's cupboards for lunch! Today will be spendy though. On the plus side I'm expecting a refund from my old mobile phone company at the end of the week and I've got lots of euros to exchange after paying for excursions on my card and getting the money back from OH...I've got as much to change back as I went with in the first place!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

:hello:
Hi all, just checking in. I had a spendy day in London but managed to stay in the budget I had so I still have the £10 I had left from Sunday. I need to get electric with that, I'm also a bit low on petrol so I have been through my bank accounts and have worked out I can scrape enough together to get it today (don't get paid until the end of the week) so I can keep NSDs to a minimum. If possible could I up my total to 15 please to keep me focussed.

Now DS is 16 and starting sixth form next month we are looking at bus passes. A student ticket covering the city zone costs £415 for the academic year, but we live a mile outside the boundary, so would need a county zone ticket costing £705! Robbing barstewards!
The money is not a problem - his grandad took out an insurance policy which matured to provide money towards his further education. I just begrudge having to pay nearly 300 quid more for the sake of a mile. Must be the [STRIKE]tight a r s e[/STRIKE] moneysaver in me....I suppose we could get the cheaper ticket and he could walk that mile to the bus, or one of us could give him a lift.
Moral - all you parents of under sixteens - be thankful for your free school bus passes.
Rant over, you can all come out now.One life - your life - live it!0 -
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...here is NSD number 8 come to join the party. One life - your life - live it!0

:eek:that's a costly mile nargle the :money: in me says make him walk the mile, it will be good for him, but with winter approaching and the evenings getting dark, would you really want him I to? I guess they have to draw a boundary somewhere, but blooming annoying when you're on the wrong side of it.
Been really busy for the past week or so, incl an awesome 2 1/2 hr pole jam on sun at my old teachers new studio.
