I know quite a few non smokers who love the smell of cigarette smoke - but it's because they used to smoke and miss it.0 -
I sympathise. Next door we have six adults who all smoke...a lot. The landlord won't let them smoke in the house so they sit outside a few feet away from our patio door and under our bedroom window. The cigarette smoke is awful and comes in our house whenever the windows are open. It lingers on the curtains.
I was convinced they were smoking something stronger but my eldest says I'm wrong its menthol cigarettes.
Hope you get an end to it op.0 -
We had this issue a few months back, the cannabis smoke drifted into my sleeping babies window, I went into the back and shouted can you please smoke your drugs elsewhere as my babys room is full of that disgusting smell.
They shouted obscenities back and my response oh well 'll let the police deal with you next time, and thankfully it stopped.
Don't give a damn about falling out with them, rather that than have my baby breathing in that crap.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
I have this issue with my neighbour's son smoking skunk in the garden. It's difficult as I know she was evicted from her last place due to her son's behaviour, so I don't want to make things difficult for her. She is ill as well.
I don't have any moral issues with it, I used to smoke it myself years ago, but the smell is pretty repugnant.0 -
Why the drama?...The smell does not make you ill..
What would people be saying if it was just cigarette smoke?
Plenty of jobs would look at you sideways if you turned up for work with your clothes reeking of the stuff.
I walked into our local newsagents the other day and the owners son was serving. He'd obviously had a smoke before work as the whole shop smelled of it as the smell had clung to him. He was oblivious to it. I don't care what people do - so long as it doesn't impact on me...... This did. I walked back home and the first thing my boyfriend said (we both smoke but neither of us smoke weed) was "What's that smell?" So it had clung to me too. Ugh.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I don't think most cannabis smokers would notice the smell in the same way cigarette smokers don't generally notice the smell on themselves either. Personally I can always tell when someone smokes, it's plainly obvious.
I also think if you have previously smoked cannabis or tabacco the smell of those is generally quite nice as you associate it with previous good memories. Alternative if you've never smoked you find the smell disgusting.0 -

I love the smell of smoke, ash even more so. Have never been a smoker.
Weed just smells rank though.0 -

That's so far fetched as to be unbelievable.0 -
It's not far fetched at all. Before the workplace smoking ban I had toshare an office with a chain smoker. When Ireturned home at the end of the day my clothes and skin stank and my husband used to complain in bed that my hair still smelled of tobacco smoke. of it. My long deceased m-I-l was a heavy smoker. Some of her personal documents still reside in our filing cabinet and 20 years after her death if you get the papers out you can still smell the cigarette smoke on them!
Complain to the police and if nothing happens tell the police tha you are going to make a formal complaint to your Local authority Police Crime Commissioner who oversees them.0 -
You can report it, but the police will just not be interested about weed smokers, smoking it in their own home.
They have bigger fish to fry, and weed smoking is not takrn seriously by the police.
Even if caught outside with a lot on the person, it's generally just a warning now.
If you are renting, then perhaps looking for another home, if it bothers you that much, would be best.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
