Well this evening was a bit of a mixture. Had a team meeting so ended up having:
A biscuit
A handful of crisps
A 200ml glass of juice
A plum
A handful of grapes
Didn't have my afternoon snack of nuts and cranberries.
Then went down the pub and had:
Lager shandy
2 x water
All in all not great start but better than I would usually do in the same circumstances. Proud of myself for having water in the pub rather than being tempted into further alcoholic drinks. I'm not a big drinker but feel almost pressured into drinking sometimes.
Not hungry for dinner but definitely ready for bed!
load of junk food ! and the worst junk food of the lot is 200 ml of "JUICE " even grapes are over the top..everything you are eating is a diabetic no no ..You will become diabetic following the "healthy " eating regime which the supermarkets propmote0 -

Wow harsh much! Maybe you should finish reading my thread before you throw comments around like that. I had started this thread not knowing much about nutrition i grant that, but I now eat a varied diet and exercise regularly. You are welcome back but only if your attitude is more diplomatic, these threads are for support and advice not attacks. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

what do you mean " I am welcome back " You dont run this forum and you cannot direct favourable replies only. I m harsh because you are eating junk rubbish. The heads of the NHS have been advocating a sugar tax to try and avoid the UK heading into a diabetic time bomb which is predicted to bring down the NHS.The trouble with you is that you think just because you re not eating chocky and cake you are heating healthily. As a diabetic I can tell you that every one of your choices you quoted is off limits.Fructose sugars in fruits and soft fruits are exactly the same as the demon white cane/beet sugars and I m afraid fruit juice is the supermarkets number one enemy. Its a massive sugar high.Grapes and soft berry frust also..Please do not try and direct forum members to your flawed way of thinking.Go and ask your doctor , he will confirm what I say0 -

I'm not saying you have to agree with everything I post and if you have some advice I welcome it. Criticism can be constructive but the way you come across is very harsh and therefore not helpful at all. If you are basing the above statement on my first few posts then you haven't had the full picture. I don't drink fruit juice or squash any more and haven't done for many months just plain water now, I cook all my meals from scratch and bulk them out with loads of veggies. I don't use any pre made sauces EVER!!!! If I can make it myself I do, it helps that I love to cook. I have spoken to my doctor about my diet and he is perfectly happy with it. So is my dentist.
I advocate the sugar tax as I believe people are eating too much sugar, unknowingly in most cases, and this is why I removed the majority of added sugar from my diet quite a while ago. Don't judge me now on what I ate well over a year ago. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Its not just sugar everyone should be watching its the natural fruits in the "healthy section " of Sainsburys, apples, bananas all soft fruit etc which we must avoid apart from a special treat. Added sugar can easily be spotted if we care to look at the labels. Its so bad nowadays that in the cereal isle the worst offender of the lot is deemed "healthy "..Muesli ..followed by Cocopops etc etc.The only TWO we are allowed is Porridge Oats and Shredded wheat, preferably with 50/50 almond milk..0
