  • Thanks dawyldthing, yeah i'm trying to keep it together for now but I do let myself crumble if I need to. One consolation is that he passed away peacefully surrounded by family, we all hope that we get that luxury.

Went to visit my MIL for a quick chat and pick up some bits that DH left there on my way home. Ended up ordering a curry as I got in late and we hadn't celebrated our wedding anniversary (22nd) but we didn't feel like going out so ordered take out instead.

I won't lie it's been a trying few weeks and it's not quite over yet. My FIL funeral is set for Friday, which I am dreading and awaiting in equal measure.
With all the stress and grief in the air I was quite ill last week so I haven't been following much of an eating plan. I will be weighing myself tomorrow to see how much affect this has had on my journey. This week I have tried to get back to my regular eating habits.

On the more positive side, I managed to clear and cancel my overdraft which did give a little cheer; another 5 months and we will be completely debt free! I can't wait for that day.

OK so had my GP appointment today and my thyroid levels are fine. He has given me another range of blood tests to go through possible allergies and vitamin levels. Although before I take the test have to start eating all the foods that I have cut out for two weeks before I can do the allergy test. Really not looking forward to that but hoping that this comes back with something a bit fed up of feeling tired and run down all the time!!

  • I'm not going to lie, this weekend I was ready to throw in the towel and take a long break but then I was thinking how far I had come and if I throw in the towel now what was the point. I have done so well and I don't want to go back into the dark pit that was my life. I feel so good about myself, I finally feel strong and sexy which I haven't felt in years. So I compromised and let myself have three days off (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) with no food recorded. I feel better for it and I have devised a new exercise regime which I started last night. I'm feeling more positive about my journey than I have done in a long while.
